Maybe I'll do a comparison...but the disadvantages are that x3 suck for running. I didn't think CXT1 were great to run in either but they're better than x3 for sure. Nano x3 are undoubtedly the better lifting shoe, at least for me. The foot contact feels better and the pitch is much easier to deal with.
Also my exact question 🤣 I need to buy one of them, since WIT screwed up my strike mvmnt order to Europe... so @asmanyreviewsaspossible we know its early, but....Tribase reign 5 or nano x3? 😆
Theyre different takes on training shoes, both good but just different. Reign are a top pick easily, one of the best all around training shoes, more flexible, less bulky, a little easier to run in but not that much lighter than Nano 13. Nano is STABLE, super responsive and great contact with the ground. Not as flexible as Reign, but feels good enough to be fine during a wod, not really something I'd love to run in for more than an 800m but I'm still breaking them in. Despite feeling bulkier, they're not that much heavier than Reign 5. You can't go wrong either way, it just kind of depends what you like. For me it depends on the workout for what I'd pick.
Hi Joel, I really like your reviews and they are defintely helping me finding the right gear. I would appreciate if you could help me answering 2 questions. I recently bought a pair of Metcon 8 as I really liked the Metcon 6, but I have a lot of heel slip which drives me crazy. This might be the reason if the ankle collar is to low, as I always change the insoles to my orthopedic. So, how is the heel slip in the X3 compared to the Metcon 8 and would you think the Tyr CXT-1 deals better with those issues? Thx
I personally don't get any heel slip with nano x3, but I also don't in Metcon 8 either. The heel cup is probably best in the CXT for you but I think x3 could work as well.
@@Kobinals For me the X3 is way better than the Metcon 8. I totally recommend this shoe. Feels much more dynamic, not so clunky and no heel slip at all. Also running feels better than in Metcon 8, cause I am a heavy heel striker (for a CrossFit shoe). If there comes up a fancy color style or even better a Froning Version, I will buy another pair.
@@AMRAP really!? Do you know when? Am I just making up that the nano 2.0 is that great? I know many feel the same way but I’m not sure if it is true or just driven by nostalgia. Thank you.
I went down a half size for my froning x1 and they fit slightly snug. Do I go back up to my normal shoe size or stick with the size i got in the Froning X1?
How do they compare with Rad one? If you are looking for a shoe that is good for squats/DLs + lunges/split squats, what would you recommend? [Running is not a concern]
