Among the films Deakins has photographed are 1917 and Blade Runner 2049 (for which he won Academy Awards), as well as the Coen Brothers’ Fargo, No Country for Old Men, True Grit, A Serious Man, The Big Lebowski, and Barton Fink; Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners and Sicario, and a varied selection including Dead Man Walking, A Beautiful Mind, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, The Shawshank Redemption, Empire of Light, and Scorsese’s Kundun. The conversation will include film clips.

Can the audio levels be adjusted? The interview audio is so low that every time a commercial pops up it blows out my headphones
