Kidding aside. I keep my head covered as a religious expression. I've never been to Ireland nor do I have any Irish history that I know about. There is a great Irish community here in Baltimore and my kids picked up the music and some, a wee bit of the dance. Great music it is! but I don't think the hat could make me look Irish. lol...
Very nice doing of the High Reel. For those interested in a different take, try Horslips version of the High Reel. It is a rock version from the early 70's. Good music done in different typse is still good music.

Why do Americans wear farmer caps to look Irish? Not sure if that annoys me or makes me laugh a little. Love the music, and its great to see love for a country.
@UberDeathTurtle: well said, thank you. I am an American of Irish heritage and I like to wear that kind of cap because my father did and so did his father and grandfather before him. There no pretense, just a sense of family.
Haha, we all look the same really except in some cases. That's a nice reply, thanks :) why do you wear it for religion? They're some roman catholics here in NI that have to wear red bandanas and head scarves, would be like that? Its usually the farmers who wear birsay caps, or people's dads, unless your super cool haha!
