Red guy maintained a great ring generalship by keeping the blue guy off of the center of the ring. So the blue guy had to work hard to get to him and eventually made him gassed out at the end of the round 3.

Don't know technicalities of boxing to conclude anything but a lot of iffy decisions went Great Britain's way at these games across sports. Saw a lot of it in hockey as well
Wouldn’t matter anyway 8 counts don’t mean a you will win the round in amateur boxing, so you could knock sumone down twice in the round and doesn’t mean you will win that round,ie you could land 2 good punches but do nothing else the whole round
that was not a knockdown because the fighter was already going down after tangling his leg and Thapa just happened to land a shot to the body while it happened. The punch did not play a significant role in dropping the fighter but it did give a push to make sure he dropped. Not worth calling a knockdown. Regardless, Thapa won that round and judges gave him that too.
What an Irony, though it was a close fight but Thapa clearly won first Two with some breath taking punches in 3rd, looks like he needs to fight both off and in the ring moving forward as he will surely face similar decisions in upcoming events.
Thapa is a good fighter but coaching is very poor indian boxers are doing only one or two punches i want 4 to 6 punches indian fighters after getting hit are smiling instead of counter punching we want boxing not smiling or restling or hughing wasting time

@@technostarr1886 that is ok bro indian boxers have won but they should have won 7 or 8 gold the Indian fighters are capable but there is some silly mistakes coaching errors always indian boxers win 3 or 4 gold but they should win 7 or 8 they are ver close to doing that these small changes should occur to succeed
