Not sure about the currents - but within the boundries youre pretty safe

No sharks that I saw. You can swim farther but the reef drops off pretty suddenly

It was okay at best. Although, the farther we swam out, the bigger the fish got. And then the reed shelf just drops off. A bit spooky 😅
