Every two weeks I get a threatening letter from HRMC saying I owe them and they have no record I've paid my taxes. I have the records via saved emails proving my returns and yet they cannot even spell my name correctly on the demands although the UTR is correct... Not worried..

This is just stupid saying if one business is shut down another will open. This isn't one lemonade stade shutting down so another kid can sell some, it's small privately owned businesses having to pay a lot more in employee tax and cutting profits. Then they want the NHS to be funded solely through tax so workers will pay higher NI tax, plus they don't want to define a working person and will have landlords pay more tax raises increasing rent. We have three days until we find out how they will be affecting the economy and from next year GBN should interview people defending this budget and government

The Governments have taken the NI payments for granted and not put it to 😮the use for which it is meant to be used for ie the emergency services, Education, Hospitals and the fire service

I'm not sure where he got the figures from that public sector pensions are 75% of final salaries, but I'd agree there more generous than the private sector.

This guy just wants to argue i think.. she asked what happens when companies go out of business due to corp and other taxes going up.. like nat ins.. wich is a tax on the company.. he said they will just get replaced as if she was saying something else that means they left and wont be replaced... what he failed to see was her actual question.. and the answer to his answer is.. its likely many companies wont replace them.. if the reason is taxes being too high for established companies with a customer base.. how will new companies or startups risk starting.. this can take time... by wich the economy goes under... so he either totally missed the question or avoided it like a politition. many entreprenaurs are leaving.. and early to avoid a leaving tax... 10000 millionairs leaving... massive stores might weather the storm or get replaced by bigger companies .. but SME's are more what she means.. i think. by raising corp tax and nat ins.. your going to affect the amout of staff employed by the companies.. so it may not affect payslips of working people... though that defenition is now up for validation.. but it could affect the ammount of people with jobs that have payslips. we should all start to just be open and honest and free to say what we actually see and know.. the system is broken. the gov is corrupt, often lying, they are self serving, they are lobbyist mouthpieces for bigger fish.. they cannot be trusted.. the uk is broke, they dont know how to fix it, we need a new political system altogether, proberby with some form of usa style sennate... over shadowing and holidng the government accountable publically and big policies should then be vetted by a publically run, independent uk sennate.
