Just turn the volume off. Everything can probably be explained without the sound. I do this all the time, because I'm very sensitive to noise.

I think you could sew all around the holes

You could stitch loops of cord onto the back of the fold. As an extra step to make it more finished looking, you could add a small extra fold in the center of that fold (if you think of a fold as a v shape, what you want to make is a w shape) so you have a pocket to hide the ends of the cord loops. Since the top and bottom flares, this shouldn't change the way it hangs in any noticeable way, IMO.

I will attempt to do this although I know shits gonna end up being a disaster since I don’t have a sewing machine buttt if I follow your video close enough I think it’ll work out
