I can confirm. I just took out the #63 named unit from my E53 and you CAN INDEED UNSCREW IT! But its quite tight because its probably sticky a bit inside.
For those of you who have had difficulty rotating the cap (myself included- I have a 2018 S560) fast forward to 3:08 and watch him lift the cap off… I’m still figuring out how to get the black top off of that sits UNDER the outer cap, but hopefully this will help!

You could just twist the bottom half and drop it all in the bottle at once instead of fooling with all of that. Or maybe you're doing this for ASMR reasons? lol
