Found you sometime this year and it’s been a pleasure to watch first thing Sunday morning. Appreciate your humble approach and you can really tell how much you care about your family and your homestead. Keep up the great work!! ❤
A recent piece of advice that has transformed my mindset is don't make to-do lists, make blocks of time dedicated to categories of tasks. Things to do are infinite. The hours in a day are finite. If I block out 2 hours a day to work on household chores, I get a lot done. If I don't dedicate 2 hours a day to chores, other things creep into the day, and I don't make it to the chores. Organize my time, rather than organize my to-dos.
Came for the pond videos, stayed for the family projects. And the Corvette video was also my favorite; that was media worthy of any site. Reminded me of some of the old CBS Sunday morning profiles from the 1980s…
Great overview of 2023! We have really enjoyed all the content and DIY projects. Congratulations on coming up with a plan (a video every Sunday), working to meet that goal, and sharing all your projects with us.
Bamboo fencing for the corn/snow fence! I used it as a facade for a chain link fence in an old back yard and was a great cover, but is also strong and durable.
Neil, when I need a humanity uplift your channel never lets me down. The heartland is full of wonderful people, pretty sure I have found one more. Peace to you in the New Year.
Neil I have enjoyed your videos all of 2023 and when I would come across your channel! I agree I think my most favorite video of the year is the little red car.❤ Your parents are so sweet! I see your a good Dad & a good husband too! I guess you had a very good teacher! I will be watching in 2024! Happy New Year to you all! Thanks for the videos. Oh yes about THAT fence! Get something BLACK. It blends into the country side and you won’t see it as much as any other color! Take care! Y’all be Safe!
I found you during the pond build, and watch every week because of your content and character. You’re a good man! Happy new year to you and your family!
I was sorry to see someone is stealing your videos. You work hard to make these original videos that we love watching each week. I look forward to seeing all the new projects you tackle in the upcoming year. The best part is watching a fellow small town raised man show how wonderful life in the rural parts of Indiana is. Now to go do a little winter snow prep on my old JD 332. I hope you and your family have a wonderful new year!!
Love you guys! Family values, family first, heartland, hard work, family working hard together , sacrifice, community, service, use it up-wear it out-make it do-or do without, teaching your children, humility, marriage, honoring your elders, wholesome fun, relationships, investing in relationships, teamwork, family, supporting family, honesty, being honest with your audience. God bless you guys! You deserve every good thing that happens to you, and more !❤
I was one of the subscribers from the pond videos. I love your videos because they do a good job of showing real life. You clearly work very hard and watching someone work as hard as you do is fun and inspiring.
Neil, great job this year on your videos. I look forward to your new video every Sunday morning before I get ready for church. I can’t wait to see your projects in 2024.
I can't answer for everyone else on here but I LOVE watching every video and thing you wanna share with us all out here brother!! I'm disabled so I live vicariously through your videos.
Neil, the pond brought us in as well as a number of friends we shared with. We appreciate good interesting content for our family as we have given up on networks. We’re here in East Mississippi on a small sorta retirement farm! A 35 yr firefighter and a social worker who now are so happy with raising chickens doves and pheasants!! God has blessed us and I sincerely hope 2024 is the best year ever for your family and channel!!
Neil, I can honestly say we liked every video you posted for 2023. What you do at your home and work location really interest me. The project I liked the most was Bruno. Like you, I thought your decision to paint it JD construction yellow was perfect because of what you use the tractor. You keep making videos and I promise to watch all your postings. JW / Missouri
I look forward to seeing you every single week what’s not to like it’s all about family, friends and fun. Really looking forward to next year 👍👍😎😎🤗🤗😊😊🏴🏴
What a year! Full of rewards and lessons! I love your ending….thats what is all about really right? Friends and family! Thank you so much for sharing Neil. I am looking forward to the next time I get to see you in person and chat. Blessed holidays and new year!
Hmmm a super easy fence solution would be some thin steel or aluminum rods/flats for posts and some chicken wire. Would hold all the or most of the stalk debris back and be almost invisible from the house. Super easy to move for mowing too. I definitely appreciate your weekly effort for a vid this year very much. You are a great son, father, brother, husband, friend, employee and creator. They world needs more of your family in 2024. God Bless you all.
You have become my favorite channel, and that’s saying something since I’ve been watching RU-vid religiously since 2014ish. Found you through the pond and enjoy watching you tackle anything. You have a sweet family and we all can tell you lead them well. Cheers to a new year!
Neil thanks for all the great 2023 videos! I enjoy your videos on sunday morning with my breakfast and coffee. Keep the great videos coming and I’ll see you on the next one!
Thanks for the year of upbeat videos Neil. It's pretty hard to find positive entertainment these days and you and your family are certainly a welcome respite from it all. Maybe a nice hedge of some sort around the back side of that pond would keep those corn stalks out. Happy New Year to you and yours.
Neil, it was the pond build that brought me to your channel. It was your charm and skill as a story teller interesting content that has kept me coming back for more. Happy New Year🎉
I found your channel this year and thoroughly enjoy it. Great to see a hard-working, dedicated family man who is community minded. keep up the good work.
I started watching during the pond build. Your calming and hard working demeanor keep me coming back each week. I’m so looking forward to the upcoming projects. Excited to see the junk pile go away 😂
Hi Neil, I'm a 60-year-old woman and I started watching your channel in 2023 because I was curious about the pond project. I'm continuing to subscribe because, even though I don't do any projects like yours, I love your attitude and desire to do things well and learn along the way. Those qualities apply to any kind of project. I wish you well in all your goals for 2024, and may you and your beautiful family be blessed!
Found your channel via the pond building project, and been slowly watching a lot of the content on the channel - Its interesting to see how people in the Midwest USA lives, compares to my life in the suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark.
From all 53 videos I would say the pond build was my favorite. Although all of your videos are worthy to be my favorite! I want to thank you and Trent for the amazing videos that I look forward to watching every Sunday morning. From my family in Randolph County Mo to yours Happy New Years! Hope 2024 brings your family many blessings!
Congratulations on a great year. I too was one who found you through the pond build and have been catching up on the old videos between the new ones. Good luck in 2024.
I didn't get to watch this in January. Yes, you have done a lot in '23. I look for your post every Sunday morning, and never miss an episode. You keep it real, Neil. Thanks.
Use a cherry net that they use on cherry trees. Put two poles up, one at each end of the yard then run two lines one at the top and one near the ground from pole to pole. Then you put rings on the lines hooking the net to it and you can slide it out when you need it and back when you cut grass. Like a shower curtain but with a line on the bottom to keep it tight in the wind.
I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now and I enjoyed watching the new videos every Sunday. I can’t believe all the projects you were able to do this year. It is incredible! Congratulations on a remarkable 2023 and I wish you and your family all the best in 2024.
Good morning Neil, I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now. Always consistent, well thought out and of course entertaining videos. We live on 108 acres in N Idaho and I often take away ideas for our place from your ideas. Looking forward to your 2024 projects and productions! Keep up the good work, I admire you and your family. Tom
Great stuff, Neil! I've been watching since the fall of 2022 and I remember all of those projects, including the red Corvette. Loved seeing Bruno cleaned up for hibernation. It's more work, but you did such a great job on it that it deserves to be clean now.
One of the highlights of my year was finding your channel. Thanks to watching Shaq's pond build, I found your pond build. It was quite the find. One of my favorite channels to watch and it's nice to have one a week. I have went back and watched a bunch of your old content just because of the great videos you put out. I really appreciate your story telling and the quality of the information you give. You don't talk too much!! Haha Happy New Year to the Koch Family!!!
I found your channel around October. I don’t subscribe to many, but yours is now easily in my top 10. Love the content, your attitude and appreciate all the effort that channel must take. I hope you have a prosperous 2024.
Love your videos and the information you provide. I know it sucks that someone was re-posting your videos on Tik-Tok but that is actually how I found you. It was your 2022 video on the firewood processor that you rented. I had no idea you could rent a machine like that. Another option instead of a snow fence is a temporary baseball fence. Not sure how expensive they are but that would be an option. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see what you come up with in 2024.
You released a lot of great videos this year but I’ll have to agree that the Little Red Corvette was my favorite too! Keep up the great work! Happy New Year.
You have such a beautiful soul, you are entertaining & you are an inspiration. I found your channel 2 years ago & I watch every episode. Good for you, on all your accomplishments this past year & may God bless you!
Thank you so much Neil and all your family. Found you through the pond but the depth of stuff you do is inspiring, as is your wonderful humble style. Looking forward to 2024 and your projects. 🙏🏼
Happy New Year, Neil! Your work on these videos keeps me sane - you probably don't know how much you are putting into the world with them. So thanks again for another great year!
Started watching on the tractor restoration. Probably my favorite aspect of the channel is the small tractor/yard/driveway maintenance. Thanks so much ddd! Love the videos! Father grew up in (kendalville) sp? I'm about 2 hours southwest. Appreciate the amount of work 1 video per week is. Maybe we can all get you to retire early although I don't think one ever retires. To a good 2024 on the channel!
Neil, thanks for another year of great video content. Wishing you a safe holiday weekend and a blessed new year filled with peace, prosperity, happiness and good health. Stay safe out there, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Cheers.
Really started watching you this year though I have seen a few of your videos over the last 2ish years. Really enjoyed the pond project and was looking forward to each update even if that wasn't the purpose of the video. I'm amazed and impressed at how well you redid the lawn around the house (brought in dirt, leveled, fertilized and seeded) as well as the lawn around the pond. Also, I love a smooth gravel driveway and appreciate how much effort you all take to keeping it looking good. Lastly, I love to see the family engagement. God bless you all!
Neil, you had a great year! I stumbled on your vids when comparing tractor snowblowers to plows but stuck around for much more. Hearing that someone made a TikTok for you based on your videos inspired me to start one for myself, just in case. I probably should post there more often. I appreciate the side conversations and I hope you have a great start to the year! -Mitch
Another great video, overall 2023 was filled with many great videos. Loved the Bruno project, the pond project was very good. By far I truly enjoy the sense of family you present in all your videos. I follow several channels and found you through Tractor Time With Tim and I never miss a video. Harlan days are always favorites, the story of the Little Red Corvette tops the year. Looking forward to 2024 keep up the great stories
Happy New Year to all of you and I've enjoyed being one of your new 2023 subscribers. I found your channel during your pond build and so I watched every single video you put out and I must say I got addicted. Thank you!
Neil, enjoyed your year of videos. Awesome year! While the pond build was interesting , The wood and tractor build was my favorite. Happy New Year! See you in the next one..
I found you through the pond build and I have watched every video I can without a “from the start” playlist. Thank you for the content and wishing you and your lovely family a happy new year from the UK.
Happy new year to yall too. You restoring your 318 got me to To work on my 316. Love watching the pond build and the playground assembly too. I can't wait to see 2024 videos. Keep up the good work. Oh and don't think some us forgot about the bronco lol. Maybe to match the shiny 318. The backhoe might get cleaned up.
This was my first year watching your videos. However, I've went back and watched every video I could find. You have quickly become my favorite channel to watch, not only because of the content put forward, but also because of you and your desire to produce quality videos. I very much appreciate your attention to detail and the commentary throughout the videos, as well as content of course. Always look forward to the trusty firewood videos as well as the new and exciting projects you have come about. I am excited to continue following the channel in the new year and can't wait to see what you have in store for us. Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!!
Thank you for being a great content creator producing videos that tell a story in a methodical way. PS: i purchased the Snap-on pliers, picked up a nickel by its rim like you did a few weeks ago. Love them.
Black butterfly netting attached to poles. Put the poles into 1" PVC pipe in the ground. You can pull the poles out when moving and move left or right as needed to mow that area. The black netting won't stand out like snow fencing though probably not as durable either. May help to know what height most of the corn residue comes in. Is it 5' and below or more up in the air. The more in the air it is, the more you will have to move the netting closer to the pond and even over the pond. My sister uses something like this over her large chicken run to keep predatory birds out - it also catches a lot of leaves and debris.
Neil - I appreciate all the effort you put into creating these videos. You're my favorite RU-vid discovery in 2023! Happy New Year - I'm excited to follow along in real time.
Happy New Year to you and your entire family. It's a pleasure to watch some good old fashioned wholesome family videos. I'm about an hour south of your place in good ol' Fairmount Indiana. Home of James Dean. Your videos on the 318 started my mind racing and wanting to build out an old yard/garden tractor. I've been looking, and eventually, I'll find something that suits my wants. Looking forward to the next video!
Your quality is by far the best out there. We appreciate the time and efforts you put into creating these video's. I sometimes wonder if you get any sleep! Happy New Year to you all.
I'd like to thank you for the great content to watch. I found your channel through the Bruno build series, which is still a COOL tractor. But I have come to love all your content. They way you present things and the stories is great and inspiring. I can't wait to see the upcoming year. The 750 build sounds great. I am hoping maybe we see a little bit about that whole house Generac I keep seeing in your shop. I am interested in adding one of those to my homestead and would love to see any info you may have learned. But I am sure I will enjoy all the videos to come. I also agree that the Corvette video was the best this year. Wasn't sure where it was going at the start but by the end you had me tearing up. Thanks again, and Happy New Year to you and your family!
I love how you Narrate your videos. I love how you explain things as you go. I love that you are a family based involved dad. I love thé pond series and look forward to your 2024 videos!!! Happy new year’s!!!
The first video I saw was your pond build. I just happened upon it when surfing RU-vid one day. Well, I've been an avid viewer since and have never missed an episode. The content is great. Happy New Year to you and your family. I very much look forward to following your journey throughout 2024. 👍👍👍
Happy New Year to all of the Koch family. I have loved your videos each Sunday. I don’t always agree with what you are doing, but appreciate your honesty and approach to life. Can’t wait to see what the new year brings to us all. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I found you this year when you started the pond build. What a great find it was. I wake up every Sunday morning and watch your videos with a cup of coffee every week since. Best part of my day. Congrats on your success. Much deserved.
2023 was a great year for you and your family! So many accomplishments and so much family fun. With all of the unrest and pestilence around, it’s great to have a place to get away free m it all. Thanks for providing just such a refuge!!! I’m looking forward to seeing another year of wholesome and entertaining content. I hope you and the ladies have a safe, happy and prosperous 2024! PS: the Corvette video may have been your best video to date!
Dave, I have been grateful for your continued support even from the very early days. My family enjoys your comments and we look forward to your insight. I hope you have a wonderful 2024 and if I'm lucky, I will continue to have the pleasure of your viewership. Happy New Year!
Started watching your channel in late Summer… grew up across from Ohio where my Mom and Dad’s farm sits on the north shore of Lake Erie. Have really enjoyed watching your videos and have learned a few things too! (My wife expects to see laneway upgrades w/straight lines sometime next Summer!) Love the calm, easy delivery of your videos too! It is very relaxing! Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family from St Thomas, Ontario Canada!
Don’t worry too much about someone stealing your content and putting it on TikTok. As long as they represent your content in an honest way, it should still bring people to your channel. The only issue would be if you wanted to get into monetizing a TikTok of your own. The pond brought me here, but as a suburban midwesterner it is great watching modern rural life and projects that are going on in that type of community. Your family dynamic is a wonderful multi-generational experience to see that many people, including myself, don’t get to see for ourselves. Cheers Neil!
Your channel is certainly different from the other channels I watch regularly, but I have so enjoyed it this past year and am looking forward to seeing what you have for us in the coming year. Happy New Year Neil and family!!
🎉 It's been amazing following your projects throughout the year on Dig-Drive-DIY! Each week, I've eagerly awaited your creative and insightful content. Your hard work and dedication to DIY really shine through. Wishing you continued success and lots of inspiring projects in the New Year! Happy 2024! 🛠✨
We found you because of the pond project. My husband and I were hooked after that. Blessings to you and your family in 2024! May God richly bless the work of your hands. Can’t wait to see what comes in the new year!
