Mother of 5 here…was raped from ages 10-almost 16. Became a mom not too long after. I was in high school and people wanted me to abort him, give him up for adoption, or feel just ashamed. After all I had survived, I needed light. I truly believe having my oldest child saved my life. My kids are now 19,18,17,15, & 12. I went to college..earned a few degrees along the way..and that same high school baby I had..just completed his freshman year of college. I struggled. I didn’t have a guide or model to follow but I’ve done it. I’m so grateful for my kids even when I look at them like but why though 😂😂. Shout out to us teen moms who chose our babies…who raised our babies…who showed our children that you can…even when circumstances try and say you can’t. To those of us who went back to school to better their lives and ours. I applaud us 👏🏾
My mother was a teenage mom and a pregnant senior as well. She was a very strong pillar in my life. I'm forever grateful to have been blessed with such a mother. She never gave up on me, EVER. I am now 58 years old. My mother passed away 10-19-23 at the age of 75.😭 She is truly missed by all. Thank you for sharing your story!!

Beautiful mother's day tale. I'm late to the motherhood club, 42 yrs old with 3 children under 8. A lot of my classmates are grandparents now. It's been a real journey, I'm definitely learning more about myself everyday. My beautiful children push me beyond any limitations I thought I had. I never envisioned this life. I couldn't imagine the strength it takes to be a teen mom, may God bless them all.

I had my son when I was 16. I finished 11th grade, had him in Aug, went back to school in Oct, graduated on time, with my class. I took him to daycare before going to school, and picked him up after school. I lived at home with my parents. I was very responsible.
Such a beautiful experience, I love you for sharing. Mine journey to motherhood was similar as a young single mom. How fortunate we are to have the blessing of motherhood with beautiful daughters.
Wow! Your story is really inspiring! I wasn’t a teenage mother but I was a young adult single mother ~ I got pregnant with my son at the age of 24 and I was still trying to figure my own path and self out. My son’s father never wanted to be a part of his life, but fortunately my family mother, grandmother and siblings were there for me every step of the way ~ I went to trade school and worked as hard as I could to support my precious little angel boy who is now about to be 33 years old ~ it wasn’t easy and he struggled and may still have some struggles with having an absent father, but I pray he will be able to move forward from that. He is amazing young man that I’m so very proud of and he graduated from high school and college and has amazing career! He even married his High School sweetheart who he met when he was 15. They work so hard and Love each other so much and I Love them both so much as well. No grandkids yet, but they Love to travel and see the world, something I never did. But now that I’m a retiree maybe I will be brave enough to branch out of my comfort zone. Just ran across your page. I love this so much. I wasn’t a teenage mom but I had my first child at 20 and had three by 24. I love everything about being a mom. My son is 27 and my daughters are 23 and 25 and they are my best friends ❤❤❤

Awesome 👏 you're perspective radically changes when you become a father or mother. Not everyone lets themselves take on that responsibility but sometimes it changes your world view enough to have more meaning and purpose in life.

I was pregnant at 16 and had him at 17, my daughter at 18 and so on I have 6. I went through S/A from 6-12 years old. I buried my oldest 9/3/2020 then aunt, step dad and mom a few months later. Thank God me and my momma found healing because with her having a Cherokee grandma and grandpa half Cherokee half creole and French, she didn’t have the best life as a matter of fact in 2017 when I found out I cried for 24 hours. And I looked at her differently my strength my joy..I’m 40 I’ll be 41 my son had twin girls that just turned 1 and his new girlfriend was not only pregnant but in labor texting him checking in labor and delivery when a senseless gang banger followed him and his friends & shot everybody in the car my son died on scene. And it was the wrong car he was looking for another red car. I wouldn’t take having him back for anything or my daughter or rest (mom of 6) my granddaughters help me so much I can’t explain. The one he didn’t make it to see was born 9/5/2020 so we do a memorial and days later do a celebration of life. I can’t tell you the pain I feel, that goes so deep it’s a vessel that connects to my heart and one broke but my heart still beating somehow. I know it’s not my strength because if it was I would have been gone…I had people look down on me, I mean dealing with a man so abusive I can make a part two the worst chapter of what’s love got to do with it!! But I’m here. I’m new to the channel I love your story just saying it.

So proud of the amazing women you have become. I relate to your story. I had my son in 1989 age 22. I had a praying mother and grandmother. God guided me on the mother journey. I set that foundation for him according to the will of God. He's grown now, I did my part by faith. I just give advice now and always praying for him. You did an amazing job sweetie. There were tons of girls pregnant at my high school. I don’t know what was in the water 😂. I think teenage pregnancy is way more common than we realize but stigmatized by society.
