I really enjoy Legends. First time since Reflex. Unlock parts on your bike, then tune it to stiff level 3 on everything and you got the setup right. If you go around the tracks wide open then no, it's not fun. But ride it "realistic" it is super fun. Especially on the Lucas Oil tracks. Slow smooth corners, clutch with a little rev out the berm and nail the landings. And in my opinion the tracks in this game are the best in any game, only reflex could compare. This game is a step in the right direction.
same. i’ve played every game and i really like legends. i really liked reflex but the tracks were just wide open. if i had a pc with modded tracks i’m sure it would have been better.
I've had the thought for a while now that Legends has it to where you JUST control the bike and the rider is just along for the ride with rider animations. But I think it should be where the Rider is what you control and the bike reacts to the Rider :)
Reflex is the perfect that no game will ever be, but the closest game is legends, in reflex hated the fact that the rider makes turns or berms with one leg standing, his position is way off to real, but whips, lets better not talk about how great are
Reflex was da bomb back then ... But having just spent past 5 days on Series X playing Legends Leader version 1.17 with all DLC, this is the best MotoX game I have ever played. It has few small issues but everything about it is just super fun.
Real talk the rider in legends doesn’t change trajectory from the handlebars and the front and rear wheel of the bike feel connected like ur riding on one big wheel under the bike
I can only play legends in first person.. otherwise it feels slow, love that you can adjust the camera to your liking. Great game, haven't enjoyed mx vs atv as much since ps2 days
It’s about having the *bike connected to the track feeling…* like feeling every bump and still being able to get that sense of speed and realism. These new games almost feel like there’s no sense of speed and I think MXGP 21 is probably progressing the best but the bike to track scale need’s to be bigger on these newer game’s. But I’m cutting the new MX/SX console games a break, because what people don’t understand is there’s a learning curve when you’re programming for new generation console’s…. especially in sports game’s. Because of the new World Motocross league starting in 2023 (I think) it would be amazing if a new developer stepped in and took a shot! I think EA sports could make a killer AMA Motocross/SX game and get all the licensed rider’s and bike’s but I’m not holding my breath for EA. I think one of these day’s they’ll get it right… or just stop getting it wrong by going backwards because they’re worried about graphics over a solid engine and gameplay. Graphics can be updated… like what Madden used to do is develop a solid engine and then add thing’s every year while improving it graphically. Now they just release the same game with slight graphic upgrade’s and often make the gameplay worse, which is what’s happening with every dirt bike racing game
I remember when the demo came out for reflex and thinking, this how how a motocross game should play. It hand sandwick and you could play as Ricky Carmichael. I played the demo nonstop until the game came out
Since I mainly play in first person I never really saw how much worse the rider animations look on Legends compared to Reflex. I think if they made the dirt way softer to start and have the side walls of ruts get packed more when they get used, it would make the ruts appear faster and it would be easier to rail them.
I'll be 50 soon, i thought iwas the only one that felt REFLEX was the best i ever played (& i play since C=64 days where Horizon magazines were the closest thing to gaming)... Anyway.... Thought i was mad back in the days thinking REFLEX is so real (& then logic dictate that if they got it here.... The future is here..... Guess ill take it to the grave) Loved what u said about bike and rider, think you got it (us users wise)
In real life a good racer lets the bike move under neath them. Where legends the rider and bike are too glued together, where in real life anyone glued too the bike isnt too fast or good. Reflex nailed it i just started playing legends and you can even see legends pivots more of the bike off the centre of the engine. Reflex instead pivots of the tires and axis point of the front triple clamps and frame
I find it funny when you turn the left and right joystick on Legends, you can cut the fastest donut, but on games like Alive, you hit it on the head. They feel different. The bike and rider move independently, where Legends is like too touchy or some shit? I try to like the game but I just can’t get into it like I did with Reflex and Alive. Hard to explain, but you definitely broke it down here pretty good
Spencer is hilarious "sit there and think about this, okay" ...the game came out like 12 years ago & its a arcade game. LMAO. Reflex is its own thing, no game will be the same
Reflex physics shits on legends. Plus it had way better deform that actually held the bike in the ruts. Literally the only thing legends has going for it is the tracks but what good is that when the physics are made for a child
In my opinion if they could just make it so that when you turn only the bars In air the bike doesn’t spin. Leaning should be the only movement that has effect in air. With that the whips would be unreal
Hey I've never played reflex but like one time if I recall on Playstation trial. Hands down the reflex rider/bike handling just looks better but I have grown to like legends a lot its pretty realistic🤙🏽
crazy how both game series went completely downhill lol, mxgp 1 is the best physics wise out of all mxgp games and reflex is the best overall. ud think with how stuff improved they could do better nowadays lmao
Bro I still play Alive on the ps3 from time to time, Legends will never feel as good as that. They would have to scrap this game and start over. Updates cant change that. 😂
Piboso is a shtty dev, he doesn’t reinvest the money, he’s just hanging out, partying and doing stuff like that but not finishing and ending the game. It’s a game without projection.
Try do to a donut in Legends : the bike will around his own center. Front wheel don't even physicly‚ that's why legends ground physics are Bad. You can't turn in thigh corners‚ you can't take the enduro parts well‚ because wheels don't exist for the game engine‚ they are here for visual. It's littérale like you control a single sphere around the tracks
Reflex was kind of like a dirtbike version of the skate games...legends and all the others are like Tony hawk games...reflex played like you are actually riding and feels like your riding when you play...every other game feels like your just pressing buttons...I refuse to buy any of these new mx games...they all suck balls...legends looks like fucking Mario Cart it's trash
@@LolliWANG505 okay bro 💀 whatever you say. IT LITERALLY CHANGES THE WHOLE GAME. Just like MX bikes does. Don’t believe me ? Scroll through Spencer’s videos and find the one where he talks about how you have to change camera settings to actually make the game playable. I have over 100 hours in legends, I’m POSITIVE, through changing the FOV it COMPLETELY changes how you play the game. Learn a thing or two before putting your two sense in.
mx vs atv alive was terrible legends is a huge step towards reflex. I think they need to learn how to make ruts better tho for sure. like the track gets wore down and just looks flat, but has huge kickers in that flat spot? I don't get how they can't make ruts just go deep and not flat on the whole track. two laps and all the dirt is deformed In some sections. like cmon. shit doesn't wear down like that. typically turns get three to four deep ruts from inside to outside in motocross.
@@davishudson9604 then how is that terrible? sounds like you don’t actually hate. because IMO alive is my favourite to play reflex best untamed after and Mx unleashed after that.
@@TraviNomotion I just hated the physics and boost. After I beat the game I went back to reflex and never played alive again. But I can admit that track designs and environments were still cool. 👌
