The contract for waste management at Tyseley Incinerator is up for renewal. Citizens can lobby Birmingham City Council to maximise efficiency and improve the environment.
Very good film! These incinerators keep being pushed as an "energy from waste" solution. It's a lazy, but highly profitable fix for too much, or badly sorted waste materials. A lot of businesses get offered it by their landlords to get their 'zero to landfill' environmental rating. Everyone, try to use less, take your litter home. At least then it gets a chance of being properly reused. Good luck, everyone!
