You are 100% right. Don't take it inside their house... you never know what's behind those doors, and if you get hurt or damage their house, it's on you.
You did the right thing. I helped a customer get a couch to the second floor 1 time and the guy didn’t tip me anything. Never again. With the attitude he was already giving you just imagine if you would have damaged a wall or something, he would’ve definitely file a complaint and all for what? A favor? Hell naw avoid the BS
No. I would not have taken it inside , It’s called LIABILITY . If any damage would have occurred to the house or fridge, you’re liable because the app states , not to. Sometimes doing what you think is best, or right , bites you in the ass.
I think a lot of people are ignorant or do not read the delivery terms. This is unfortunate and only if it was a very old person I might take it in for free but otherwise just save the headache and negotiation and just take it back. If you do negotiate for a tip then your open to getting a complaint for strong arming them or something. Just take it back.
Well I’m definitely glad I seen this video. Most of the time it’s tv”s with me and if they ask I usually take it inside. But now I know. That’s extra and 9 times out of ten. I’m about 2 be in this situation and that’s why I tuned in. Thanks
I would've did the same thing man. Some people always trying to get over. They know damn well you wasn't suppose to bring it in. They didn't even try to mention a tip to bring you in. CCC and Smack!!!
They knew. They hoped you didn't. They were lazy trying to take advantage. He and her together could have taken that up those few steps, set it up, and they would have had a new fridge. Yea in America as he tried to say, "Don't let folks take advantage.
Hell no especially when the husband came out talking in America they supposed to do this. I would’ve said go sit your ass back down i work for me not you
You were very professional and respectable to them! Yes, take it back to the store! They were trying to play you and you weren't having any of it!!!!!!!!!!
You handled that professionally and smart as well Rome. For one we are not covered under our commercial insurance or Roadie’s coverage. Let just say you did bring it in and threw your back out trying to make that right ass turn going up them steps, would that $2.50 tip been worth it??? Hell No! Stay Safe Driver🙏🏼💪🏼🦺🚐
Not only are you not paid or contracted do it, but there are safety and insurance reasons you wouldnt want to do that. What if you were hurt, or them, during the process? Screw that noise.
Yeah there's a language barrier as well! Double dipping all the way back to home Depot 😂. Avoid the back injury and continue to return the appliance. The days of dealing with games these customers playing are over 😂. He ddk and he went on his way 🤣🤣🤣
Me personally…Ain’t no way I’m bringing that in without some prior arrangement of compensation. And that would depend on my assessment of the property and difficulty level. Sometimes the handles and/doors have to be removed to get fridges through doors. $20-$50 is what I would charge. my general hourly labor rate is $50.
If a signature not required I’m verifying the address and dropping it off and leave. If the customer sees me then I’ll help them put it in the house. But the installation part they must be out of their minds
I'm 99% sure that you would have not gotten a tip Indians do not tip the way I would have dealt with it I would have told them it would have been an extra hundred dollars to take it in the house and install it or I could take it back to the store like you did I completely agree with you I'm tired of customers paying for one service and expecting another not happening 💯💯💯💯
nah, you did the right thing. You not only have to worry about the lost time and possible no-tip, but then you have to worry about them claiming you broke something "oh, our socket stopped working after he plugged it in wrong."
If I had the tools to get the refrigerator in the door and I knew I wasn’t going to get into trouble w/Rosie or Home Depot I would have said to the Cust. I can bring that in for charge of $30.00
I wouldn’t take it in because if something should happen while taking it in the house you would be liable so no matter the tips that was not part of the agreement.
Nope nope nope. Back to the store. Cuz most of the time they won’t tip and if I get hurt doing something extra I’m out of work. Bro I don’t even knock anymore at deliveries 🤣🤣 unless it something special in the delivery destructions, it’s getting like in the driveway bruh
These customers don’t know we true hustlers we gone make or money regardless we not kissing they ass to do it💯💪🏾 …she tried to make their problems your problem🤣🤣🤣🤣
Liability for that fridge would’ve been all on you plus that railing was way too narrow that needed two people to lift it over the railing. That woman is a scammer run run run live to work another day.
Man !!!!!!No way I would had say lady “ I don’t get paid for taking the fridge in !! Lady if you want me to take it inside the house I’m going to charge you extra $50 yea or no ? No ok going back to Home Depot !! Se the problem is that so people feel privileged and they feel like they can treat people like crap ! Nopeeeeeee Being there so many times. Brother you did good you were the better man in this case I salute you!
100% back to the store it goes....Too risky for both my wallet and body (particularly my back!) to attempt to deliver the fridge inside the door. Heaven forbid something gets damaged...it would automatically be my fault I'm sure.
Man I delivered a toilet to a lady on the 4th floor (I didn't know that we're not required to go up any floors) and I get up there drenched in sweat and she wanted me to bring it inside. I told her that i'm not allowed to and we kept going back and fourth then she told me that im going to hell 💀💀 I should've left that shit at the bottom of the stairs like I was supposed to per roadie policy.
Look bro.. you did right by taking that back there was going to be no tip there and this just a red flag when there's a red flag you just go and go to the next one move on
At first glance I would have just attempted to bring it inside. However knowing after the fact that the store told the customer the delivery terms no way. I had a similar situation with Go Share order from Lowes. Customer wanted me to bring inside their home an air-conditioning unit (which I did) but then talked about installing it. I said no way!! Just paid to drop it off that's it.
Hi, I love your content 🫶🏽 I need the links for Dispatch and Rodeo . I sign up for something 🤪 crazy. Please send or post a link so I can sign up, please, and thank you 😊
First of. Great stuff. Keeps the interest. Then I would think is this ok with roadie. Is it allowed 🤔 ..... they was not gonna bless you for that extra and them steps was not in your favor. In addition if you dent it they throwing you under the bus. So nah, you did the best thing for you. Ok I have a question.... how do you calculate when it comes to weight to charge?
