You can grind the surface of your S-Iron to make it smooth and polish to a mirror finish. You can do it with an electric sander or by hand

Your video vs your comments is very confusing. You said you like the FN2 but you also said you use the F2G due to a smoother edge crease and you being left handed. What is the number for the one you prefer and use most of the time but for a right handed person? Thanks. Great video

Sorry for the confusion, the one I like is called a "FN2G" (G standing for the "gaucher" which means left handed in French).

Thanks. Informative video. What type of leather do you use most? Calf or cow?

I love using calf, the younger the animal the nicest the skin looks and feel

I read somewhere that new tips need to be prepped (perhaps just polishing). Any truth to this?

Can you comment on what temperature/setting on the regad transformer that you use for heating/smoothing the edge paint? Do you use your regad fileteuse for that?

I am setting the temperature at around "7" to do this with the regad fileteuse

I have a question regarding Regad tip attachments - I recently acquired a couple of 2nd hand tips, all work very well except for the watch burnishing tip... it does not heat or warm at all... would you know how I can determine the fault and possibly get it to work again, I cannot find any information online... Cheers Max

The coil could be damaged I think. The best is to send it to regad for reparation...

Any reason to use a G or GN tip over an FN tip?

In fact Yes I am left handed I should have mentioned it. F alone is right handed, for left handed you've got F+the number and then the letter "G"

The leathercraft academy I'm also left-handed , and I'm looking for creaser for left-handed person . Do you have suggestion for where to buy in electric creaser (in video) and non-electric one that has to use alcohol lamp to heat it. Thx u

I wonder if you are able to do a video on sewing a zipper onto leather around corners or can recommend a tutorial? I am looking for guidance on how to sew a zipper as in the following product: cl.ly/m3mo/94b80b3d368b4204f78fe5375da7394fa33bf3d6.jpg Cheers.
