I feel you man, I’ve always had to deal mental health issues, and lately some people in my family have been getting sick (I just found out yesterday that one of my uncles has heart inflammation). I've taken a stress road trip like that before. Went from Tucson to Phoenix out of nowhere, which is a big deal for me. It was the longest trip I'd taken at the time, and splurged pretty hard. Was very nice. Feeling the need to go on another personally myself. A lot of people are for sure feeling your vibe.
I came across this video by accident and lo and behold I see my tweet here. Genuinely, that tweet was not directed at anyone in particular and it wasn't even really about Xenoblade. It was more just a commentary on hours-long, negative video essays with a lot of padding with a clickbait thumbnail and provocative title that somehow always end up in people's recommended sidebar because of the algorithm. They're all over RU-vid. Xenoblade 3 just happened to be the latest example of a recent game a lot of people really love. As someone who adores all 3 main series Xenoblade games, even I can agree that fans of the series can be extremely defensive to a fault. You can't really blame them considering how much unnecessary hate the 2nd game received upon release thanks to certain other content creators. But as a consequence they're extremely wary of even the lightest criticism which makes it hard to get involved in discourse, so I feel you on that.

Disabling comments isn't something I'd ever want to do tbh. I like hearing what you guys have to say and not having that would take away a lot of the fun of doing RU-vid. I'll just work around it and try to ignore the really negative stuff, but thanks!
I had fallen out of gaming as a whole for a little bit after I made this video. Just needed a mental health break. I'm aiming to come back with some XC3 content before year's end.
It's frustrating to hear that the comments you get are still so toxic. People have no respect for content creators who aren't following the masses and it's infuriating to see such juvenile reactions. I've disagreed with you plenty of times and you are far from someone with a huge ego who can't accept any other thought but his. I thought Xenoblade fans at large were better than this, it's just a disappointment that they make your hobby something unpleasant to this point.
