Participatory Workshop in Portugal: Integrated No-Till Market Garden and Agroforestry Systems 

On 25 May, Lugar da Terra, with the support of Agroecology Europe, hosted a participatory workshop for the youth on regenerative and syntropic agriculture. Lugar da Terra is a small farm with 5000 m2 at the coastal area of Portugal, producing regenerative food for restaurants and home deliveries with an integrated system of no-till market garden and agroforestry. Besides producing food, it has become an educational site with workshops throughout the year, developing small scale regenerative farm tools and providing consultancies helping other landowners and farmers to implement agroecological food systems. With this workshop we wanted to share practical knowledge about No-till Market Garden and Syntropic systems and their integration and maintenance, bringing young people enough practical ideas and tools to turn it into practice on different areas, climates, and contexts.
