So stoked you put this together! Your teaching is amazing! I learned a lot of. Your RU-vid videos in the past. I signed up as soon as I saw the course!
I highly recommend John’s course! Very informative, easy to follow and was able to learn a lot. I really like how he plays through many songs and shows how to play them accurately. Keep up the great work John, even though I finished the course, I’ll still be watching each new video. Thanks again!
Yeahhh! saw this yesterday and signed up today :)) I´m sure it will help me a lot. Thanks for creating this and keeping up the good work! Your former videos also have been beneficial for me. Be blessed!!
Hi there Jesus!! Love with Reggae music is the reason that made me to start learning the bass. I find your channel very good, lots of content and easy to understand. The rebirth part and self developement resonate a lot with me. Parabéns irmao!!
Thanks for the lesson. Great stuff. I'd just suggest to turn up the bass in your mix. It's not that clear to me and should stand out a bit more for a bass lesson. Thanks again.
Glad you liked it!🙏 Regarding the volume of the bass, did you watch the video using headphones or speakers? With my studio monitors it sounded pretty good. Could it be you don't have a lot of subs? I'll put it a bit louder next time👌
this is a custom made, by myself -- bought the parts and put it together myself. But it is based on a Fender Jazz Bass. It sounds fat because I am a producer/mix engineer and I know how to EQ it to make it sound like that -- nothing too difficult once you know what you're doing. Just buy a Jazz bass -- or a cheaper one, but make sure the pickups are the best you can afford. Then learn how to work with the EQ on the amp
No - because the root note are the ones on the A string -- which makes the notes above (on the E string) the 5th. D (root) - A (5th) E (root) - B (5th)
I'm travelling and have none. I've never understood why people err on the part of too low a volume instead of too high. we can always turn it down.@@fynii9478
You will definitely not hear the bass if you are listening on your phone or tablet. But, if you put headphones or connect to speakers, you will definitely hear - and if you put it loud enough you will feel it!
