as a nuclear engineer who loves rap I gotta call him out. At 6:17, he says he will drink U-238 blow up and come back again, but U-238 wont blow up. its the majority of all uranium in nature, but the isotope used for nuclear reactor cores (and those 2 bombs 60+ years ago) is U-235. You could blow up hard by moving the right geometry of U-235 into place. Not 238
i really like this kind of hip hop. And i think i'm one of the very few few few people in Rome, Italy, who listen to stuff like this. I completely dig it! Respect NYC for real hip hop!

@@raghavsharma3211 there are a lot of producers on soundcloud crafting gold, sp1200, mpc boom bap. Is still alive, just remains in the underground, gotta digg deeper.

I'm from Colombia and I always lived here, but when I was a kid and I was listening to the first Eminem songs that could come to me, I felt something else with these beats, now I think that this desire to always be finding new good music has made me come to these masterpieces... This is true hip hop The second track is just perfect
Yeah, He started as a Mail Carrier in NY and apparently is a Postmaster In Memphis. Pretty awesome to see such a talented artist go on to have such a successful career on the opposite end of the spectrum. Still wish he was spitting bars though :)
For anyone wondering why this type of hip hop has disappeared, or more accurately bastardized into the crap that it is today, all you have to do is listen to the likes of “Suspect” by Reggie Capers. Today, this song would’ve been enough to lock him up in Guantanamo Bay, if you know what I mean.
Most hip hop artist during the 90s would do a clean and dirty version of their best or favourite songs because they found white people and labels preferred "cleaner" music. Purely a sales tactic
z s not tryin to hate or anything like that, but it was for radio play, which is definitely a marketing factor! I think artists maybe thought that beeps/scratches/random noises fucked up the flow of a song. As I type this listening to the 2nd track on the playlist, I think I can agree with that logic?! Nevertheless, the og 'dirty' versions are always best!
Does it really bother you to not hear "mother fucka" "bitch" every other verse? I could care less to hear it. I hear it enough on a daily bases to really need it in my music. And The edits pretty much are so faint, I didn't even notice the curse words were being blanked. Also, it's cool to be able to jam this why I blade with my 4yo son.
@@imfernemland4294 the second track to this record is the same sample from redman & method man , black out 2, album. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fGbNxYNRR4Q.html
Ahhhhh NYC rap. This single EP is classic. I think my fav. Was Gravediggaz for NYC hardcore rap < 1-800-suicide > You can hear the flow and switch up on Servin' MC's that was so prominent for rapping in the mid to late 90's. I miss 90's style of hip hop. No need relating to gun play < Fu Schnickens >
no matter if we talk bout hip hop, rock, metal, or any kind of music. what it make something real is the love and the thuth something is done with. when money comes, it all melts away

Boom Bap is where it’s At..!!! There’s Hip-Hop, then there’s Rap, then there’s hardcore old-school Boom-Bap!! I Wasn’t apart of it. I was born in 95 during the midst of it, when it was all going down in New York and New Jersey… Shit still changed my life forever. And it’s all thanks to the crate-diggers who’ve uploaded some of their collections over the years onto RU-vid giving me and others the chance to hear this historical and powerful era of music that came from the heart… often times from a rugged heart….!
