Steph and Klay are the best SHOOTING backcourt in NBA history, and it's not debatable. It resulted in 4 rings at least. Irving and Luka are perhaps, the best SCORING backcourt because they are both ball dominant and create their own shots. With Steph and Klay, it's only Curry. However, Klay is the better defender than all 3 in his prime.
Reggie is correct. The Pacers, no matter what they say, NEVER GOT OVER the way they lost game 1. The telltale is the fact that they were winning 3 OUT OF these 4 games, and lost IN THE LAST 2-3 MINUTES. That's mental.
I honestly never got to see any of those guys play- none of the 70s guys. It was harder to see games then. I started watching with Magic and Larry. I know the Sixers had some good backcourts during Doc’s time (maybe Andrew Toney and Maurice Cheeks 🤔), but nothing that could touch Luka and Kyrie. Nobody I can remember had a backcourt that could go one-on-one like they can.
West/Goodrich, DJ/Gus Williams (79), Isiah/Dumars, MJ/Harper (MJ and anybody are better than any 2), Steph/Klay. Don't sleep on DJ/Gus Williams -- really, really good. Luka/Kyrie need to go to back to back Finals and win one before they're better.
How is it controversial for the TV crew? Luka, Kyrie are just magicians with the ball - you can be in the best spot and the two will still make the basket. Kudos to Kyrie for this season.
Reggie said he doesnt want the ball in Lukas hands for the last shot, but Kyries, in a game 2 just before Luka made a shot over Rudy. Now hes singing a different tune. He never addressed it after the shot. Both him and coach Stan said it clearly. Its kind of disappointing not to own up to it, to be honest, I always liked Reggie. As for Dans remark whos guarding who - as we saw theres a screen and a switch in late game situation, so neither Jaden nor Ant would be guarding anyone. Lively being hurt could help wolves win it , but so far points per possession in half-court were awful for wolves (under 1 first 2 games) and good for Mavs, which tells us they really have no clue what to do if theyre not running. Its not a new thing, its been like that whole season. Ant needs to go downhill and it worked against Suns and nuggets (less) cause those teams dont protect the rim that good - Mavs do.
@@JuanMota27 Maybe Shaq was ready, but the team around him wasn’t right yet. 🤷♂️ Hard to tell when looking back. To me, he was being critical of KAT’s seeming blasé attitude towards going down 0-3. Just my guess.
@@JuanMota27 He’s played pretty well, but needs more help. It will be interesting to see if they play smaller in G4. Something needs to change, and they may do something drastic. 🤷♂️ That’s what makes a seven game series- adjustments and changes.
Reggie and Sir Charles never won a championship, but they have no problem talking about losing to HOF players and able to laugh about it although I'm sure even after all of these years it still haunts them. DP gets the absolute best from whomever he is interviewing. Great stuff.
Wasn’t Kyrie and the guys that Dallas acquired during the trade around a month or two just before the Mav’s played the Celtics last? So the Mav’s weren’t really the team they are now. They were just getting themselves together then as a team.
I would start with Naz Reid instead of Gobbert and I'll put him and "slow mo" on Luka taking turns on defense..yes Luka and Kay are the best offensive backcourt in the history of the NBA..RIP Bill Walton he was a great player and a great broadcaster his injuries robbed him he could of been one of the greatest centers ever if healthy..love to listen to Reggie loved him as a player and I love Reggie as a tv personnality🫡
IF Ant scores 35 plus, and if Towns has 25+ and 15 rebounds... When have they done that in the postseason. Ant played has Georgian A$$ off and he got 26 points. Basically, Reggie is saying if everything goes absolutely amazing for the Wolves then they have a chance.
14:18 - Why ask about Michael Jordan?? If you're paying tribute to Bill Walton, wth does Jordan have to do with that? And you know the answer already. Ask Reggie the same quesrion, but reference a Hall of Fame teammate....oh I don't know, maybe reference his sibling that might be the best women's player ever.... stretch your limits Dan and Co.
Just to try to make that argument, for Luka/Kyrie, you have to be so specific nuanced and pedantic that you're basically creating a category just for them. All so you can say: "in this individual offensive way.. oh yeah, then they are the best." What a load of bs! Steph & Klay's 4 rings, 6 Final's appearances & careers say you're wrong PS: people's recency bias is off the charts
Naaaah Regg...KYRIE ALL DAY! Because of his array of shots...shot makin' ability & my #1 reason, if he gets fouled...90% from the FREE-THROW LINE🧏🏾♂️ MAKE NOOOOO mistake, Championships are WON & LOST on that free-throw line🎯
that is my biggest pet peeve with dan. no matter the topic, he will make it about jordan. "Joel embiid struggled this season, leading to an early exit for the sixers. Man how good was jordan?"
Well, well, welllllllllll. And here is reggie. Again. Again. Again.etc...... At least Jim Rome shakes it up often. Next, I'm going out on a limb..... fat chuckie barkley. Or....... wait. Not so little petey king.
Look... today's game is way DIFFERENT...You can't compare the past players and style of play to now...Charles and others have tried to tell Dan this, but he just continues this nonsense 👎👎👎
Never ever, even when he was with the 4 letter network. I have never liked D.P. Cocky, Dry and very smug in a passive aggressive way. A narcissist. Naming his crew the Danets. Oh please eye roll.
As a Jordan supporter the only team in the east that scared me was Reggie Miller's Pacers. He was the only player &team that didn't fear MJ &the Bulls. If Rick Smits was a little younger &or healthier the Pacers might've won once. Cuz Rodman was too little for Smits &Rodman had to bang with the Davis-Bros, poor Reggie; Jordan &then Shaq. One more scorer &the Pacers would have been dangerous
