Probably the most discreet of all the interviews I’ve seen so far, that’s the cop training in him. He was definitely brought into death row because of his police links and ability to bridge that gap and talk to the cops and arrange payoffs. ( just my opinion)

Thats obvious. They were making big money legit. So they would need legit security to protect themselves in life threatening situations. Puffy did the same exact thing, the only difference is puffy was more scary and was focused on the bag. So he made sure to cover his tracks and stay low key.
This is the best interview about Deathrow Records I ever heard. Say what you want but Reggie stories ties a lot of stuff together. And for the ones who say he's holding back info you have to realize he was in law enforcement he knows a lot of stuff so no he's not gonna tell everything and incriminate himself especially with some of the incriminating questions Vlad was asking him. I love hearing the stories from ppl who was actually there instead of outsiders with 3rd party theories that don't add up. Reggie brought a lot of stuff to light that we didn't know. You can tell he's seen a lot of shit and his stories seem the most realistic to me. Reggie on the other hand, has a lot to answer for and he's getting his just due now. That's a technique to getting the interviewee to open up and give you a good conversation. If you just ask questions you might only get "yes" and "no" answers, which would make for a boring interview.
You can tell during this interview that he's careful with his words, which is a good thing, but that can also be took the wrong way especially being an ex cop. You see him with his guard up during the first half of the interview and also with his guard down when it comes to defending himself, suge and other areas at some points. Thanks to Vlad for doing this people have waited a looooong f*****g time to see these types of interviews.
Reggie lowkey got that cut throat cold blooded energy about him, he look like he's taken care of some grimey business in his life, aside from all the 2pac drama, he looks like a solid character though💯
This was a very informative interview. I was a teenager at the time. Everything was moving so fast...I agree the music industry pitted Tupac and Biggie against each other to sell records, but No one should have lost their life. They were both talented and young. God have mercy on all their souls.
The musoc industry didnt pit Tupac and Biggie against each, it was Suge who kicked things off amd Tupac who threw fuel on the fire because he was upset he with former friend, also I’m sure Tupac was smart enough to realize thr publicity its getting is selling records soo he continued taking shots at Biggie and anyone else
It's funny hearing him Talk About Dre being 21 million dollars unrecouped and had to downsize his house and moving to the valley but in Straight Outta Compton they show Eazy-E downsizing his house moving into the valley. also in Straight Outta Compton the only domestic violence abuse they show is Dre's mom slapping him.

That was his friend he didn't mean to kill him. He was getting smacked up with a pistol coming and trying to roll out. He fucked up big time that day and killed a lifelong friend accidently and forfeited the rest of his life for it. But he I believe was deserving of jail or death anyway for the long power trip he went on and causing the death indirectly or directly of a great man Tupac Shakur, who as a mid 30's man his music still daily is connecting to me and my life. And same with notorious BIG. Suge had to pay. NOW PUFFY NEEDS TO PAY THE REAPER. NEEDS TO PAY FOR HIS HALF OF ENDING 2 GREAT MEN WHO REALLY COULD HAVE AFFECTED THE WORLD IN A GREAT WAY. Hands down vlad has done the best job covering what actually happened in the 90s hip hop wars. And death row-bad boy stuff. His plat form is where I first herd it was puffy who had that hit on 2pac done.
Finally the full interview,it was starting to get like the book of " Arabian Nights,a Selection of the books of thousand and one night ". Vlad,now you have earned your Death Row chain and dont forget to send Suge some royalty money.
Reggie is right in regards to why Suge Knight taking that plea deal was the smartest thing to do. With him already having 2 strikes, ANY felony conviction could potentially lead to Suge getting a life sentence. Suge was facing Murder, Attempted Murder, Hit & Run (for fleeing the scene) along with a Robbery charge he caught with Katt Williams AND a felony charge for allegedly threatening the director of Straight Outta Compton (F. Gary Gray). So, Suge was facing a total of 5 different felony cases and even IF he beat all of them, the District Attorney is allowed to appeal the decision and hold a re-trial and try again (doesn't happen all the time, but it IS an option). That being said, it's damn near impossible to beat 5 different felonies at trial, especially when District Courts have above 90% conviction rates. Even if Suge beat the Murder charge, the jury could've found him guilty of a lesser charge like 2nd degree murder...which is still a felony and could potentially give Suge a life sentence. So, Suge took a 28 year plea deal in which 4 of his 5 charges were dismissed and his murder charge was downgraded to a Voluntary Manslaughter, which carries an 11 year maximum penalty. In addition, since Suge plead 'No Contest' he was allowed to keep his appeal rights, which are often taken away from you if you plead guilty on a plea bargain. However, since this Manslaughter charge was still considered Suge's "3rd Strike" they were allowed, by California Law, to double his 11 year sentence & make it 22 years in prison. In addition, since he used a "deadly weapon" in the comission of the crime (his truck) an additional 6 years were added to his sentence....28 years total. 28 years is a long time, especially when you're 53 years old...but at least Suge knows there is a light at the end of the tunnel. At least he can have some hope that he'll be free again one day instead of sitting in prison knowing he's going to die there and will NEVER walk the streets again.
I guess that does make sense but it's still wrong he is a bad guy who some might say deserves to be in jail but if you not guilty your not guilty that tape didn't show murder to me if terry Carter was such a buddy why didn't it appear that he was attempting to stop the fight why did his son call the lapd the next day inquiring as to the whereabouts of his dad's gun they say he wasn't carrying if he was to meet suge at this restaurant as a friend how did bone. DA can't retry the case after being found not guilty. Only after a hung jury but everything you said was correct. They can "be nice" and charge him with a lesser charge that's still a felony and it's the same as being found guilty of the original charges

If you had this much going on in your life you would be able to articulate your thoughts. I had an awesome teenager life with lots of good stories. I tell the stories like it happened yesterday. I also dated a rap artist. Let me say it’s a lot of stuff going on and he was constantly traveling to different states. I couldn’t keep up with the multiple cell phones and people coming up to him while we were out and about. It’s fun for about 15 minutes. I had my fun.

The antinarcotics officer he is trying to remember is Rick Bookman Him and Big Reggie was the original team before Blondie joined them. We used to call ol Reggie the Jolly Black Giant. I can Still remember him trying to sneak up on us on Raymond Ave while we slanged our rocks back in 1985.
It goes to show that sometimes you are destined to be something it’s up to how you maintain it. Look at all the different opportunities and breaks Suge had to high school to college to Death Row. He squandered it all away.
What is abundantly clear to me is that hip hop is inextricably connected to the drug game, violence and crime. I remember when Troy White brought Eazy’s Above The Law to DC. We were staying at the Watergate Hotel and we wanted to meet the group. Troy said NO because they’re quick to speak to you or kill you. I will never forget it and I was scared.
I’ve listened to this like 20 times and I’m hearing again so that’s 21. This never gets old. I just picture what death row was like when he talks about it.
I still remember how I felt when they announced Tupac’s death, and immediately playing I ain’t mad at ya video. Girls at the apartment complex were crying, and screaming. The only thing people have to understand about this situation, is that for 2Pac it wasn’t a Piru’s vs Crips thing, it was a more of a Deathrow vs Bad boy thing. For him it was about getting retribution for all the things that had happened to him in the past year, getting shot in New York, doing 8 months for something he didn’t do & being mocked and having people turn on him while he was in jail. Bear in mind all of those things happened because of people that Biggie introduced him too. It was just a coincidence that Suge & 2Pac had a common enemy (Biggie/Puffy etc). The Crips got involved when Puffy decided to get Southside on his payroll (who were already enemies of MOB/LP Piru) since Suge had Piru’s by his side. The story is actually crazy when you think about it.
We could even factor in the fact that the main reason Pac had issues with Jimmy Henchmen (the man who got him shot in New York) was because Jimmy owed him money that he needed to pay his legal fees, the main case at the time being the sexual assault charge. Pac was only hanging with Haitan Jack, Jimmy Henchmen etc after Biggie introduced him to Jack. Pac also caught the sexual assault charge with Jack. So you can see how all his problem stemmed from that scene in New York. Pac loved to hang around dangerous people. Funny part is anyone who watched Vlad’s interview with the girl who accused him can tell you that she is lying, her story doesn’t even make sense.
@@JiggaMan1297 The only reason Pac got shot up was because when he was asked about Jack and Jimmy he said he never knew them and they weren't friends of his. That's when they tried to clap him. Big didn't have nothing to do with any of it. If Pac never threw in that lie about Biggie knowing who shot him then Biggie would be alive right now.
