oliver I wish. But I saw an old video of her on a talk show a friend had on VHS where the host was timing how long she could hold a note. She explained that she learned a technique called circular breathing. I guess she can sing and breath at the same time or something. Anyway the timer went all the way to 50 seconds, she was full voiced and did not lower her volume as most do to hold a note longer. Anyway at the 50 second mark it was clearly obvious that she was not out of breath and voice did not break. The only thing that stopped her was the stupid host that started telling jokes causing her to laugh. So that 50 second rumor is actually true! There is no reason in my mind she couldn't have held the note or raised the note upwards and continued on well over a minute. And I think she made it clear she could. Other interviews she says she purposely doesnt hold notes so long because the audience gets bored with one long note.

@@nesq4104 It is one on RU-vid where she speaks about Whitney's death and the family of great singers, like Ms. Dionne Warwick then Melba proceeds to show the interviewer the important of breath control and she does it for about 30 or so seconds just to show but you can tell she had more to give, lol!! Melba can sing and has extreme breath control😁
