What's the best pizza place in Boston? Phantom visits the legendary Pizzeria Regina in the North End. And Santarpio's in East Boston. Both have new locations. Phantom Gourmet Saturday & Sunday 11am on TV38
Getting in on this rivalry. Tried regina's twice (loved it) but as we speak at the original Santarpios typing this waiting for a cheese pizza. We'll see if they stack up against one another.
Regina's is clearly the better pizza. Anyone who puts toppings beneath the cheese is hiding something or trying too hard. Pizza should never be about gimmicks. Regina has the great crust and sauce with the really creamy mozzarella cheese. The best in the country, hands down.
Well, I have never ever been to Santarpio's before because I would have to travel there by car all the way to Peabody. On the other hand, Pizzeria Regina (I have never been to that either) would be a lot better (in terms of distance from where I live) because I know there is one inside Polcari's Italian Restaurant off of Route 28 in Salem, NH.
