About:
Khadijah James (Queen Latifah) has it all-a great job running her own trendy magazine and part ownership of a fancy brownstone. Sharing the ownership of their home is her endearingly naïve cousin Synclaire (Kim Coles) who's also Khadijah's assistant at the magazine. Their third roommate is a sarcastic, selfish fortune hunter Regine (Kim Fields). And even though she doesn't live in the brownstone, Khadijah's best friend, Maxine (Erika Alexander)-a tough, aggressive divorce attorney always searching for Mr. Right-spends more time here than she does in her own home. The only thing they messed up on: it was out of character for Regine not to have been in the finale.

The rushed way her character left was also a mess, imo. They had been building a prospect of /something/ with Russell, if not a relationship at least some character evolution where she was becoming less materialistic and judgemental, and suddenly she mets this rich guy and marries him and dissappears from everyone's lives 😢

@LadyVonHautkopf It was actually due to Kim Fields wanting to be released from her contract with them earlier. She was going through personal issues and knew the show was only going to last a half season. She negotiated a storyline where she'd leave earlier.

@@Tampabruh Yes, I know. But they could have written an earlier exit using the stuff they had been developing already, what they did felt to me like a reset to s1 Regine, who only wanted to marry a rich guy. I think in general a lot of the narrative decisions made in last season were kinda uninspired, which will always bother me bc this show was soooo good right until that last season 😂
