I was an intern of this show, and I remember this very well. Nick was so demanding during the rehearsals, asking for more retakes while the other boys were so nice to everyone including Regine. The songbird didn't bring everything out during the rehearsals but to everyone's surprise (including us, the production crew), she dropped the bomb, upstaging 98 degress with their own song.

This is a lesson in manners: no matter how big you are, when you are in another country, show common courtesy. Otherwise, if you decide to be a prick right before you perform with Regine, be prepared to get ANNIHILATED, BIG TIME!!! Regine is one of the nicest, most gracious artists in the Philippines, and it takes a lot to set her off! Too bad Nick Lachey had to learn it the hard way! 😂😂😂

Topher, regine finally opened about this incident. Regine was cool with all the guys except nick lachey. Lol regine found nick lachey arrogant during their meeting & rehearsal. That is why regine went into beast mode during the actual performace.

Did you notice the tension between regine and nick lachey? Regine actually was pissed off with nick for some reason that day(you’ll notice the hands on hips stance very early on). Regine don’t normally sing over the featured artists but in this case she did and it was intentional to drown nick lachey’s voice. She recently admitted that on an interview

During the rehearsal she sing in normal tone, then on TV she shows to nick of how to become vocalist. Regine said in her mind to Nick that he suppose to be nice because your not in your country. According to sources, back then Regine was tasked by making them feel comfortable in our country, Have them the Pinoy Hospitality we are very proud of. But this Nick Lachey being an a*s and regine is not having it. So she got upstaged by his own song. He had a taste of real Pinoy-ness, we are really hospitable but do not step on us on our own teritory. 😂😂😂😂

If memory serves me right, there was an alleged issue that the 98 degrees were snubbing regine during commercial break before their perfomance. When I saw this, during performance, there was a bit of angst from regine, i guess after this, the boys will forever remember her lol. But I agree Regine was already restraining her vocals here.

She mentioned in an interview a few days ago, that the other band members were very warm and nice to her but Nick was a bit rude and arrogant, so she taught him a lesson during the actual performance. They're quite shocked coz it wasn't part of the rehearsals.😂

Regine said on a recent interview that nick is shady and mean so i believed that is the reason why she belted that way cause you know regine will never outsang other artists that is proven by time. Topher, the reason Regine sang like this is because she mentioned everyone was humble and great, except for Nick Lachey. She described him as "super arrogant" and felt like drowning his vocals.

Miss regine velasquez is very humble down to earth person. One of the boy band giving her an attitude during rehearsal at that time so she decided to eat them a live with her powerful voice lmfao if im not mistaken its nick lacey had bad attitude but the rest of the boy band are nice to her

During rehearsal the song supposedly not that high but at the beginning of the song Nick lachey started to belt out. Me of course i dont do that with other singers. But wait . Nick demanded to retake the production many times amd asked regine to " tone it down" but all of the production were surprised that regine Belted it out. Regine spilled the tea that the rest of the band were so nice and timid except Nick. 🤣Regine said in the interview last week translating in English " Hey Sissy! How dare you to act like that in my own country ? Dont act like a diva. never in my life that i upstage someone. But you asked for it. I will give it to you i will eat you alive hahaha ! "

You reacted to this video 6 months ago and you mentioned that regine drowned all the boys with her vocals. I saw in one of regine’s interview recently that she intentionally did it because nick has an attitude (she mentioned that nick is arrogant). So she makes sure that nick’s voice will not be heard in most part of the song. 😜
