This song was sung by Michael Bolton... Regine won the Tawag ng Tanghalan, a singing contest on TV back in the early 90s. Her vocal coach was her Dad. He used to take her to a lake in their hometown when she was young, let her stand in the water that is above her chest and make her sing high notes. In an interview with her during the talent show, she mentioned that she would practice in the water almost everyday after school. She came from a very humble beginning just like Morisette. I guess they're innately talented. What I like about both of them is that, they didn't let the fame get into their heads. Not like Mariah or Ariana or other singers who think they are gods and everyone should bow to them...

Regine V. started it all in the Philippines that's why the likes of (Sarah Geronimo, Morrissette Amon, Katrina Velarde etc.) adored her and followed her footsteps. That video that you've reacted to is from the singing variety show that she's on. She's also a judge of localized Philippine Idol, The Voice, The Clash, Pinoy Pop Superstar just to name a few. Before Morissette, Regine was my favorite Filipina singer ever! There is something about her that U can feel B4 she sings the 1st note... And when she opens her mouth, the clouds open up & ur just there absorbing it all. Then when Mori came, I felt the same thing, it's like seeing a 🦄 4 the 1st time... No shade 2 other singers at all, but 2 me, Regine & Mori R Unicorns of the music industry... So when I saw them both singing Mariah Carey covers, I was in heaven! Regine is truly ASIA'S SONGBIRD!
