@@MathiasWerner Hello. Please try to check this other tribute song, this time it is for Pinoy movie personalities and celebrities who have passed on. It is one of her original songs, a love song, that by her talent she was able to turn into a sublime, ethereal, divine, eulogy song full of love and gratitude for the beloved departed. Thanks and more power to you and your channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zbKjbfUZ-sk.htmlsi=XFL2r_-WX2OZnA2v
You are absolutely right. This is totally a funeral song. They made a tribute for the composer who died around that time. But speaking of originating a well-known song. Regine sang and recorded the Destiny’s child arrangement of Emotion even before Destiny’s child recorded it. Mark J Feist, who arranged the song, executive produced Regine’s Drawn album (her RNB era), and took the same arrangement to Destiny’s child years later.
@@MathiasWerner i agree! That would’ve slayed! Come to think of it, it was around this time too when Destiny’s Child released it (2002). While Drawn was released back in 1998.
Regine definitely 'Reginified this', LOL! She made versions of many songs into some of the most impossible to sing, unless you have the pipes for it. I can't with her sometimes, well, MOST OF THE TIME bec. I can't sing her version, HAHAHA!
Try Sa Aking Pag-iisa, which was patterned after My All including the remix > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LpWBMKe-x1w.html My All was even sampled in the remix part. Regine was sick and had a cold when she did that concert but you'll surely enjoy it!
the arrangement is indeed Lead the way's. thats the twist. even the vocal arrangement. if Mariah sustained the note in one breath in Lead the Way, Regine belt it out and held it for 8-9 seconds (04:39 - 04:47) and took the belt even higher (with just 1sec gasp of breath) and sustained that higher note again (04:49 to 05:59) with riffs & runs. btw, what notes did she use on the high notes? are these the same notes in Mariah's Lead the way? i bet not.
Its weird she did not do the ending when she sang lead the way and its lower and should be easier for her, but here its higher and harder and she did! I dont get Regine sometimes lol
