this was supposedly her last performance on SOP when she was tranferring to abs-cbn.... kaso lng in d middle of the negotiations there were cguro some things na di cla nagkasundo ng abs management kaya after a while bumalik sya ulit sa gma and first performance nya sa SOP ang angels brought me here...
at the first few parts, i thought her performance was just ok. i even thought she could have sung it even better. later before the end of the song, she managed to hit the high notes and i was already relieved.

@dustinben. The music industry culture in developing countries are different. They are highly influenced by what's "in" in the US. What Regine is doing is common in the Philippines. They do have their own hits, but they also perform foreign hit songs. It does not make them less of an artist or a talent those in the US, just different.
@dustinben There's no published statistics about it. It's common knowledge. Search here in RU-vid popular weekly tv shows in the Philippines like ASAP and Party Pilipinas. Week after week, they sing popular hit songs made popular by foreign artists from the West end.

She's not transferring but she will be retiring because she would like to fulfill another chapter of her life, and that is to become a MOTHER. She was suppose to sign a contract with ABS for a new show with Sharon Cuneta but decided not to do it. Instead, she just accepted to do another MMK, this time with Albert Martinez. Regine will always be loyal to GMA. Nothing to do with Network Wars, Talent Fee and anything else.. but because of LOVE and her hopes for a great FUTURE with OGIE. OK?

i don't think regine needs to prove herself. magaling talaga xa. pero di ba kung magaling ka you also have to give way to other artist na sa tingin mo may potential in the field of singing. dapat di reason na kaya aalis ka sa show mo dahil natatabunan k na ng ibang singers. mas lalo akong bibilib sa artists if they acknowledge other talents and give them support. hindi ung lilipat kasi marami nang magaling sa show nila kaysa sa kanya. may regine continue to support new artists.

Bakit naman ingrata si Regine? Regine is already Regine when she joined GMA. Nanalo na ng singing contests abroad and released albums sa buong asia - EVEN BEFORE being part of GMA. Hindi GMA ang nag-"create" sa kanya, unlike Angel. Besides, as a singer na ang main output ay albums at concerts, wala namang kinalaman ang GMA dun. Wala naman syang album na prinoduce ng GMA at sa concert, isa lang yata ang pri-noduce ng GMA.

@Silva Surfer Regine is still slaying at the age of 52. Her voice is still intact. Vocal wise, they're not in the same level plus Whitney is dead please respect.
