If you deduct RRSP and FHSA contributions to the max each year, it would bring down your income taxes significantly. Primary residence are capital gains tax free in Canada. There are advantages to HK like no sales tax too. Ultimately its hard to compare a international tax havens to regular developed countries. Social welfare for the elderly and poor in HK is not di great, so that’s a trade off of lower taxes.

Go work for Maple Leaf in Bacon packing department and do the overtime as much as you can. You will get rich soon. Apply for EIA if possible or check immigrant services in Jefferson that what benefits you can get for free from federal and provincial government.

canada is not about money, canada is about quality of life. Here you can enjoy life, no need to live in a box where you cant move in a tiny apartment

Six months of freezing weather in Winterpeg is quality of life? As for HK, my wife, son and I live in a 3-bedroom 1,300 sq ft flat by the river with mountain views with 30km of bike and walking trails each way. Beautiful area. We also have a full time maid. Like you said, quality of life 😉

@@robocop581 I know what goes on in HK about foreigners exploitation in particular maids. Yes that might have happen to Indians but not from locals, everyone is protected by laws here not by “power of money”
