We have the title of the new Regular Show sequel series, called "Regular Show: The Lost Tapes!" This seems to confirm that the new episodes will be a prequel set before the ending, "A Regular Epic Final Battle" where Mordecai and Rigby are still working at the park with Benson, Skips, Muscle Man, High Five Ghost and the fan favorite Pops! Is there a chance that this new season could properly introduce Mordecai's wife, Stef into the fold and could we see some closure between Mordecai and CJ? Will there more drama with Margaret? Let's speculate a bit more on the future of the Cartoon Network series and how it fits into their plans alongside shows like Adventure Time: Side Quests and Gumball Season 7!

@@Jmatongo777 Benson never really needed redemption tho. I think a lot of people just needed to chill and realize he was never a bad boss. Mordecai and Rigby, were just objectively terrible employees most of the time. As for Rigby, that’s why I’m worried. Feels like Rigby was given most of the character development over Mordecai, who they sort of just forgot about it and gave a wife last minute.

@@CombatSportsNerd both about rigby and mordicai being bad employees and benson being redeemed can be true even tho can say they just made him horrible for certain episodes but mainly it seemed all he was was the angry boss but later seasons actually got stories and became interesting

The thumbnail makes me think that, Since the finale of the original series confirmed that Pops is watching the other characters from Heaven, I'm also wondering if revival Pops will try to return to Earth for whatever reason. Like maybe he'll be resurrected or something.

Personally, I would think the Lost tapes will tackle both the unanswered questions of the past and the events of the future. And what would be funny is if they also do an animated version of the comic that came out post the end of regular show. I'd love to see Mordicai shave his beard or trim it to a level where he could watch his kids have adventures.

I'm happy that this sequel takes place after the finale, as it was too perfect to continue after it. But I wouldn't mind if they would have a post-Pops sacrifice but pre-thirty year time skip period, where we see Muscle Man rasing his first kids and Mordecai and Rigbys final days working at the park.

Most of season 8 kinda sucked because it was doing *nothing* with the overarching story or it's cast beyond the main duo and like one weak Muscle Man episode. The best parts were the Pop's story and the beginning. So I have faith if the writers did do a new run, it'd be well done.
