These IMAX comparisons demonstrate why less is more with a good poster. Look at Dune Part Two. The sandworms convey the mystery of an imposing world like Arrakis. It's simple yet striking. So many of these standard posters are too busy with featuring actors rather than making intriguing posters. I wish Hollywood would understand that.
@@eudacye709True, The Fall Guy is more busy but it relies on two central figures (Blunt and Gosling). A majority of these standard posters feature too much imagery at once.
I literally love that movie. I mean it had a ton of twists and turns but it was so fun!! If film bros are gonna sit through all the Star Wars movies and call it art they should be able to enjoy argylle too
Tbh i loved Argyle, does it borrow off of too many tropes, yes, should the runtime be shorter, yes, but this is simply too amazing of a movie to hate, legit one of the best action films ive seen lately
The floating heads poster design is just movie studio's jingling keys in from of the audience's face like, "look it's your favorite celebrity, come watch our movie!"
@@dripcat2375 oh. I misread it lol. Yeah I loved the movie. Thought it was really fun and original. Although a lot of people hated it I don’t understand why
@@LoganGlidden it actually made me really sad to see people sh*ting on a movie that’s just trying out something nice and original. It’s a shame. I wish I could thank the producers for giving me good memories. I bet half the people r hating on it for no reason. I’m sorry I’m ranting like but it made me rlly sad cuz I really love the movie
Bro the old movie posters used to be so cool but now every film has like 200000 big actors all of whole need their own spot so we’ve lost cool posters for big films (other than that one for the challenger which is the best poster I’ve seen in like a decade)
Me my Girlfriend and my Older brother all enjoyed Argyle stop with the Argyle slander it was an enjoyable movie and every actor who was in it played their roles perfectly 👌🏽🔥
The problem with the last Dune poster is that the IMAX logo takes attention away from the movie's title. It takes up more of the poster and has the interesting sand effect on it. The only thing keeping the title from disappearing altogether is its contrast with the background. The concept is interesting, but it could have been better.
Not necessarily, I mean for example look at the inside out original poster, it represents the idea that now there are a lot of new emotions with that limited space. And the imax one is just bad, I mean look at it, it has the main problem of every movie poster, of just showing all the main character
Argylle hate kind of confuses me, because it always feels like a lots of people who went in it expected a different movie and were upset it wasn't that. But im not sure what they were expecting based off the trailers. Like I went expecting a mixture of Deadpool as a spy movie and a parody and that's what it is. If you thought it was too long or there were too many plot twists fine, I think the plot twists were kind of a meta commentary on a lot of mysteries right now, but you might not have Just enjoyed it from a story aspect. I will say some of the foreshadowing they did was very clever and I really enjoyed looking out for that.
Argyle had something unique that only really showed up in the post credit sequence tying it to the kingsman franchise, a really good violent film franchise. You have to really like violence and spy films with a hint of poor comedy to like argyle
It does seem in some cases they have gotten more creative with the IMAX ones. Really good looking posters in general. Hey does extreme digital have separate posters?
Aapne sahi kaha, while watching I was rather thinking that why The Best Character in whole Mahabharat Arjun has been showed with so much unnecessary proud while fighting with Karn. The character was trying hard to show himself as negative.
The Fall Guy has the best IMAX poster of the year. Love how old school it is! You also gotta give props to that Civil War IMAX poster. Looks gorgeous and gives off Apocalypse Now vibes. Worst IMAX poster of 2024 would have to be Furiosa. Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the fans of the actual movie and I love the regular posters with my favorite being the one with only Furiosa and Dementus together. But that IMAX posters looks so fanmade and photoshopped. When I saw that IMAX poster for the first time, I thought it was just a fanmade poster but it took me a while to realize it's actually a real "professionally" made poster. That's how awful it is.
I don’t understand why dune makes posters so similar to Star Wars while the movie story and idea is also already similar to Star Wars! Maybe they should really focus on doing their own thing with the movie posters
The Poster for Madame Web doesn’t seem that bad, it just looks like your average floating head poster. Nothing special, nothing terrible, just another poster that looks exactly like every other floating head poster.
Im so pissed that being someone WHO WORKS KN A CINEMA, this is the first time ive seen the fall guy imax poster like,, id have that on my wall it looks amazing
