Tarantulas aren't even that dangerous, their poison is almost as weak as a bee's poison. I think it's actually the same, I have to start the reserach now. xD
@strawberrycherries7476
@strawberrycherries7476 6 лет назад
Iulian 204 It all depends on the species, some are much more dangerous than others. And poison refers more to something that has to be excreted and or ingested to be harmful, it's really venom.

I am absolutely terrified of spiders, not because of the fact that they bite, but because they have so many legs and move. Honestly, any bug bigger than a centimeter is terrifying to me. But watching your videos, makes me like spiders more. Tarantulas in particular. Because as I see these creatures, I think of Betta fish. Full of personality, and very willing to fight whenever. And to me, its a little adorable. I dont know if I will ever get a tarantula, but I do know that I will have more respect for them in the future.

I have been binge watching tarantula videos to get over my arachnophobia. It seems to be gradually working. Now I see spiders as interesting creatures that are just freaked out by anything that isn't food or shelter. Arachnid life is not easy.
@AntiNubDevice

They're really cool animals. The almost comical overlarge size of a tarantula to what most people think of as "normal" sized spiders makes them give off a much different feel than smaller spiders.

Hey dude A dog will straighten it tail! A cat will arch up! A snake will coil and retract! A spider will show very similar signs of threat, excitement, and ‘back the fuck off’ which is hard to tell, even after 15 years of breeding and handing! Unlike many other breeders I do not take From the wild, but in Australia we only really have seven proper natives, nothing this bright as the Cobolt Blue found in south east Asia! I have a female Champagne Robusta about 20cm (three inches), she is wild! She is massive and displays her fangs often as a display of all three behaviours I mentioned, but she has never tagged me, and her venom is one of the worst we have here in Aus, so if she ever did bite me I will know about it! But she has won me awards and prizes at reptile shows etc. Her colouring is at the top of this species colours, but she’s been reared up many times and I’ve come in behind her and picked her up and although they don’t have the ability to smell, they can desensitise over time (five years for her) into feeling safe and secure in being handled, but you have to be light and let them do what they want to do, or they will get pissed and hiss at you! I currently own 18 snakes, 7 elapids (venomous), about 22/24 Tarantulas, all native unlike these colourful specimens you watched in this video, lost count of my scorpions, not to mention turtles, frogs, and the list goes on, and recently one of my Wallace had a sac that took us days and repeatedly recounting clutch of over 1000 spiderlings! Reptiles and arachnids are a hard hobby for most to understand, but we do this because we love them and have a passion for them, and if anything, I own three of the the worlds most venomous snakes, where we only have one spider here in Australia that can kill a human, ONE! The funnel web, and it’s never actually taken a life believe it or not? This dude, may be green but he’s doing ok considering. I’d be using tools like tweezers and a blunt flat knife to calm her and control her, because believe me, this is nothing compared to when you take over a thousand spiderlings in a sac from it’s mother! Then you will see one pissed of spider!

dave christopher very good point Dave, after 15 years of breeding and handling countless reptiles, arachnids, and many other animals (none taken from the wild EVER!,, I have never been tagged! I own 18 Pythons, several elapids, 3 of the ten worlds most deadly, but I have a special room in my workshop made of cool room panels for my elapids and breeders, it’s under lock and key, temperature stable, I have a Coastal and Inland Taipan, and they are nothing compared to my Adder! She’s like three foot long, and I’ve had one dry bite, but they are the fastest striking snake in the world, and it’s shirt and dumpy, a little dumpling haha but seriously, her strike is like nothing I’ve seen before!

What I’m thinking is you need to learn how to handle tarantulas. Don’t get me wrong you do a great job caring for them but you can’t be scared.

I don't think he was scared. Just didn't want to get bit. Pretty normal. Especially when you get bit and they're at a big height, since they can fall and splat and bleed to death pretty quickly.

A dog will straighten it tail! I currently own 18 snakes, 7 elapids (venomous), about 22/24 Tarantulas, all native unlike these colourful specimens you watched in this video, and recently one of my Wallace had a sac that took us days and repeatedly recounting clutch of over 1000 spiderlings! Now I am actually wondering, how far can spiders sense/see? Like I am really afraid of spiders. When they are in the corner and just sit there on the wall, I am always afraid of them jumping on me or stuf like that, or even crawling near me to attack me... but I don't know, would they even? Your spiders always seem prety chill so far, they don't run around fast like for example ants... I am really just afraid of those very quick movements etc.
