I don’t understand what it is with men telling women that they’re “immature” for being rightfully pissed off in situations that are completely unfair and hurtful????

About the 1st story : How convenient, get someone you like, make them take care of you and fully support you. Then complain they are not as fun, fancy and flirty as before. Use this as excuse to cheat, then blame them. After you split they feel and look much better (because they don't use their time and resources to take care of you) and you want them back. And complain that they don't want you + guilt trip them that it's their fault that your relationship don't work

Secret signature guy was DEFINITELY trying to pull some kind of POA/conservatorship bullshit with his wife and I am MAD

On the wedding one- I had a child free wedding and two of my bridesmaids (both sister in laws) were literally 39 weeks pregnant. All went well and we joked about what they would do if their water broke during the ceremony. Some people are ridiculous 🥴

The story about the wife having trust issues and refusing to sign a paper blindfolded He Purposely broke a boundary she set and then asks why she doesn't Trust him? Gas. Lighting.

GIRL the signature wife scared tf out of me. There was a serial killer (I forgot the case name) but he would make his girlfriends sign blank sheets of paper. He then would murder the girlfriends and use the blank sheets to write their families notes as if they were still alive 🤯 EDIT- The man's name was John Robinson for anybody who is interested. The story is absolutely wild.

Never ever ever ever sign anything without knowing explicitly what it is. Never a blank check, never for your significant other, never for any reason. The fact that he’s even ask her to do something like that and then gaslight her after is a red freaking billboard.

The pregnancy story: My mom went into labor with me at a wedding and she toughed out the whole ceremony and reception. Pregnant women are amazing with what they are capable of. Let the girl live and have a good time at the wedding before giving birth!

The story with the girl signing the paper blind folded, I’d honestly tell him I would do it then rip the blindfold off to see the papers. Obviously right before I start signing. Very curious to what the papers are.

totally understand the girl who didn't want to sign anything while blindfolded. yes you trust your partner but my mind would also be like wtf??? This would raise red flags even if my mom asked me to do this. Like we're playing a game and you want me to sign documents that I don't know about?? shadyyyyy! Trusting someone doesn't automatically make you stupid and unable to identify a shady situation.

Nawwwwww that signature thing was sketchy af, it was also extremely narcissistic of him to get mad at her for not signing it & wanting to see what he wanted her to sign

Listening to those wedding stories, it seems that for some people weddings are about being admired by your acquaintances, not celebrating an important milestone with the people you love the most.

Wedding story: I don’t think this has anything to do with the family it has everything to do with her being mad about a pregnancy outshining her wedding and essentially outshining her “big moment”

If you can't afford to buy a pair of underwear I'm mostly concerned about whether or not you're buying condoms?

With the wife being asked to sign something blindfolded, I would say, "sure". and then I'd sign something like Jessica Lange and take the blindfold off to see what i am signing

To the pregnant wedding story: as a teen mom, statistics are that it is very unlikely that womens first child will come early, also like they said water breaks are over hyped in the media in reality most womens water doesn’t break and with first pregnancy early labor which is light contractions that are period cramp like build for weeks before you have screaming contractions so if the girl possibly went into labor early she would know probably days ahead of time and most likely make the decision not to come if she was or thought she could give birth soon. I personally had early labor contraction for a week before I gave birth and my active labor was for 26 hours and my water didn’t break until I had been laboring for 14 of those 26 hours so trust me she would know if it was baby time and again it’s very very unlikely

I set an alarm to watch this premiere because I get so excited to watch these videos. They help my depression and anxiety so much

On the topic of the pregnant teen story- when I had my son at 20, I didn’t even KNOW when my water broke. Worked for the next day for 12 hours went in for my check up appt since my due date was close and found out then. That bride to be is being self centered af.

The thong story completely grosses me out! Imagine if her partner had an STD and the underwear didn't get broken and just got given back to her mom 🤢

The signature one I would say okay get it all prepped. Once my hands were on the paper I RUN with it and read it 😂

I don't get the whole "I don't want the attention taken away from me" thing. The most attention you get is at the ceremony. After that, guests spend more time mixing and mingling with each other than they do the bride and groom. But if she did go into labor, it's unlikely her water would break all over the dance floor, and she could easily slip away without causing a huge scene. Even if word got around about her going into labor, so what? They are allowed to talk about things other than the bride and groom AND celebrate their marriage at the same time.

A former neighbour made his wife sign something she wasn't able to read (he had hidden her glasses prior to this) and turned out she had lost her rights to the house or sth. He later divorced her and left her for another woman

The end of the show where you guys mentioned that listening to these stories is a bonding experience for couples, it absolutely is! When you guys mentioned the fiancé upset about the pregnant sister being at the wedding story, MY fiancé paused his game, and said “the fuck did they just say!?” So I had to start the story over so he could hear the story and both be mad about it collectively. We think she’s the asshole for sure

The signature story reminds me of true crime things I've watched, where someone tricks their partner into signing a blank page and then types up/prints out a suicide note, or a "I'm leaving don't look for me" note before killing them. Super sus.

When my water broke I called the hospital and they said come in to check me over but my dinner was ready so I asked if I would wait an hour and I was fine for a while until contractions started 🤣

One of my moms friends had her DAD die at her wedding.... like the day before Christmas. Like nah you go right ahead and have that baby on the dancefloor.

for the woman and the papers and the signing, I would have been like "Okay yes, lets play." and let him blindfold me and acted like I was going to sign, and then grab the paper and take off the blindfold to see what it was, I really thing he was up to no good...

1st story.. it’s already too late. Why would he think it’s ok to bring another girl to HER house and sleep with the girl in HER bed. The pregnancy story: the person getting married is jealous that the sister is having the first family baby. That’s what is going on. She is purely jealous and only want eyes on her. Also, like Morgan said.. that is her niece…. She should feel honored that the baby is coming and be a support. Baby will be here soon whether they like it or not.

Just wanted to share: your water breaking has nothing to do with pain levels during labor. I was in active labor and almost was able to birth my 2nd child with breaking the amniotic sac. Your water can break before your ready to give birth also.

I love how people think water breaks and baby is coming in 5 mins lol it could be hours or even days. mine never even broke.its very common. I was in labor 6 hours. They had to break it in the hospital

I was a teen mom and my brother in law and sister were my biggest support system at the time I can’t imagine how heart braking this was for the teen to hear that her sister in law doesn’t want her at the wending because she’s pregnant and decided to keep the baby

So, I’m kinda late hopping onto THT podcast but catching up quickly! My little sister actually suggested you guys to me. But in regards to your end chat about positive comments and hearing about how this podcast has saved marriages; my boyfriend is a very quiet man, and he doesn’t usually talk about things with me, like “hot takes”. But I put on this podcast on a car trip and he acted all uninterested, but then I paused it to talk about my opinion on a story and after I broke that seal he legit started coming forward with his opinions on the following stories… it took us the whole day trip there and back to get through the one episode because we kept pausing to discuss! It was amazing because I felt our communication was stagnant and this gave it a much needed resuscitation!! So again! I’m late to the ride, but zooming to catch up and SO love what you guys do! It’s made me want to start a podcast with some of my friends/family too!!! 💜💜💜 THANK YOU! Ps. My dad is fully legally blind. When he had to go with me to get my permit, I had to keep guiding his hand across all the paper and it wasn’t easy at all (I obviously don’t mind because he literally can’t see) but that’s what I automatically thought of when I heard the 3rd story. It’s not easy for you to completely guide their hand across the page, and I know it wasn’t easy for my dad to sign on all the lines cause he was getting frustrated. The persistence in what he’s doing is what’s weird, he’s asked multiple times but won’t tell her or even show her wtf she’s signing 🧐

A guy that narcissistic wouldn’t just go tell a story about how awful they are in every way. A person that stupid and idiotic about relationships could never admit they did anything wrong. That story sounds like some heartbroken kid wrote it to make themselves feel better. Not buying it at all. Great pod though!
