Steven Forest is the sweetest man. He is so gentle and incredibly humble for a man who is a gem for us following astrology. The interviewer asked some great questions. I enjoyed this immensely. informative and insightful. Thanks.
@LSI Lol, yes I’m definitely a Free Spirit. I was born with a really old soul. That’s really cool . There are no coincidences ,that I believe. Jeff Mara has a NDE spiritual podcast for anyone who has experienced any NDE, etc . ❤️🇨🇦
David is indeed a really lovely man and I’ll be looking at more of his videos. indeed some good questions, however the interviewer seemed to focus a lot on negative experiences, Does he have Saturn conjunct mercury or something similar ? A strong Saturn anyway.
Out of all the interviews I've viewed thus far, this is easily my favorite. Chris, you were such a great listener & so genteel with Steven-it touched my heart! You presented your questions respectfully & handled sensitive topics with ample grace and compassion. Great job!
This is one of the most amazing astrology conversations I've ever listened to. Love the clarity with which you both were speaking. Apparently you seem to have different approaches to astrology but this podcast proves that we can all speak and share and meet and get value from diverse background and ideas. Well done, so smart! and thank you very much X
”Served a very intense cup of coffee, right?” @19:59 Steven, you’re priceless beyond measure. I am so grateful that you are here to teach Astrology to us all in a friendly yet profound manner. Love this episode. Thank you so much Chris for sharing this great conversation with us!
Excellent interview with Steve Forrest. Although I am a Master Astrologer in his program, I never want to miss Steve's talks/interviews, he always leaves some new point I must have missed or I now understand better. I loved the collegiality I felt between you two astrologers. That kind of dialogue is what we want in the astrology community to understand and learn from one another to compliment each other's work and add to our own. Thank you both for that example.
@@WarriorDM4u Oh ok, I always wondered about that , because I know someone who was supposed to be a Cancer, but they were 6 weeks early and their a Gemini . I wondered because their supposed to be one sign ,but if the Dr calls different, idk can that affect people? They appear to be a cancer more than their Gemini sign ,so I wondered. I hear of others feeling like they’re born in the wrong body ? I wondered if astrologically that ever happened . This is definitely interesting. So if someone else caused / or had a part in an accident, that person would have to be part of their life so to speak / re / life plan birth etc. Thank you Cori …………lol. 🙂
@@freespiritwithnature4384 the person may have placements in cancer even though their sun is in Gemini, that could be why. But regardless, everyone is born in divine timing so the Doctor rescheduling for an early labor doesn’t change that. What is meant to be will be, will be!
*This was absolutely a divine interview that kept my attention all the way through, and learned quite a bit. Very clarifying with depth. Thanks Chris and Steven!* 🙏💞
Great interview. The interesting thing is that both evolutionary and traditional astrology believe that a natal chart shows things that are predetermined, so they actually agree on this main point. They simply differ on the cause of it. Karma vs. fate/gods. They are in fact the same thing. We are the the ones who created our karma, that now shows up as ”fate”. It is simply cause and effect, and like Steven said, habitual tendencies, that accumulates karma. I think it is definitely important to study astrology’s roots. There is some evidence that past lives were simply assumed during Hellenistic times; Plato’s Myth of Er etc. But it is so much easier to ”blame” the gods and fate, than to take responsibility (good or bad) on something that we can’t remember doing. It seems completely strange, unfair and ”unscientific”. But yet, there it is. Buddha, upon his enlightment, did remember all his countless lifetimes to the smallest detail. Just because we don’t remember, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
It was a great conversation between two great astrologers one with the experience and his life synthesis and the other the scholar with a deep knowledge and historical perspective. Thank you . It was so iluminating.
Man, I picked up a Steven Forrest book on a cross country car trip 30+ years ago and it changed my life. I read it cover to cover and felt like I had found the most beautiful soul and he explained astrology to me in such human terms. I did a lot of study and then drifted away for years, until just recently I have again felt astrology calling. Up to my attic to find all my books, and specifically looking for my Forrest books. And now running into this video by chance. I love this man, thank you so much for Steven Forrest.
I loved this so much because of the pure vulnerability and passion that Steven shows. I hope he is with us for many many more years because he still has so much to teach us.
I had to stop at 24:30 when mentioned the name of his book. I ordered The Inner Sky last week and is being delivered to me today without knowing that this is the author speaking! Great interview.
Steven Forrest is my teacher ,love the open minded dialog & respect between you both. Thanks for these conversations,I'm constantly learning through your podcast.
he is an idiot who thinks he is a good writer but he is not. he is a lousy astrologer and a horrible writer who talks tooooo much and says very little.
@@daniellebrook3333 yes, truth is awful. That is why not everyone dares to say it. I've read several of his book before pronouncing this truth about an idiot who writes cancer suns are "healers or invisible or blah"...bunch of BULLSHIT in his Inner Sky BS book.
Just listened to this full episode today, 20 months after it was posted, and was absolutely riveted. I think this conversation will have relevance on through the ages. Thanks for this excellent conversation.
One of my favorite episodes. I keep telling my students in the German-speaking countries, if I had a role-model among astrologers, it would br Steven Forrest.
Brilliant episode! My south node is also in Scorpio and I would love to discuss the "secret handshake" with both of you! Look forward to another episode with Steven Forrest.
I've been teaching myself astrology for the last two years and Stevens viewpoints on Astro are exactly what I've come up with myself. I'm so happy that I'm not alone.
Great work Chris and Steve! I am an astrologer myself (based in Sweden) and long before I got into astrology, I was an student of reincarnation. I'm 46 years old and started studying reincarnation when I was 18. When I started to seriously study astrology 7 years ago (after being an amateur for many years), I then started seeing a co-relation/connection, so to speak, between the birth chart and the theory of reincarnation. I totally believe in reincarnation today and consider it in my readings with clients. I always find it to be very viable. Therefore, I consider myself a witness of reincarnation as a valid truth both in my personal life and as an astrologer in my work with clients. So far, I can say that I could never go back (as far as reading charts or personally) on the fact that we bring with us a luggage contentaining residious from previous lifetimes. It is indeed reflected on the birth chart! Loved the interview. Well done!
Do you know any PLR sessions? I’ve tried them all and nothing worked . The closest I’ve come to was Dr Brian Weiss. However it wasn’t long enough for me. It’s only 35-45 minutes. Mira Kelly’s voice doesn’t work for me . I’ve tried and I’d loved to .
@@freespiritwithnature4384 There are so many out there. Since I haven’t tried myself it’s difficult for me to recommend anyone. If you tried Dr. Brian Weiss and Kelly’s work and it didn’t work, my advice is that you continue to research and try out what resonates with you. Good luck!
@@silviaargolo7378 Thank you ,yes I have seen their work too. I found Dr Brain Weiss the most successful, but honestly just as it was ending , I was just starting to get relaxed . It was to short. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.
I've been feeling the need to link spiritual and the metaphysical with astrology and was looking for conversations around that. Today, found this on my home page very randomly. Boy, what a fantastic interview!
Great talk over a very interesting topic! My question is: How can someone determine in one's chart whether this is the first incarnation of this soul and if not how many incarnations has this soul been through before the last?
Such a Capricorn sun. Focusing on life by hard work that the soul needs to do and to not sugar coat readings or responses because he wants that person to evolve. His dry and dark sense of humor is v Capricorn. Sign of the teacher as well. 😂 I have a stellium of 5 planets in Capricorn in the 11th (☀, mercury, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus).
44:20 @Chris B - there are Vedic astrologers who DO make very straight predictions about past lives. One I can wholly endorse is Deepanshu Giri and he has a Vedic astrology school in India and does past life readings if you are still looking for one. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything. Take care
1:19:13 I found this hilarious as I am an ex-JW who absolutely detested having to preach on Saturday mornings. As soon as I escaped that insane organization, I began a spiritual quest which resulted in getting a natal chart reading from another ex-JW who read charts as a hobby. She was incredibly accurate and SO very helpful in my life journey. Thank you so much for this episode because the afterlife and reincarnation have always been in my psyche for as long as I can remember.
Thank you so much for this glorious interview. I am totally new to astrology, and your and Steven’s overall orientation is comforting and very easy for me to resonate with. I love this completely.
This was brilliant. My husband listened to the WHOLE THING with me. We even paused to sidebar several times. After 13 yrs as man and woman and 30 yrs as friends he's now extremely interested in learning more. Chris as always you get right to the meat and potatoes of it. You ask the questions we are we are curious about with thoughtfulness, respect and grace. Steven as always funny, poised and gracious Great talk guys!
Totally agree that we remember the emotion of our past lives because I have felt these, seen these life times and have done a lot of work with my kinesiologist to release these energies, which have helped me immensely. Such a fascinating podcast ☺️
Well what do you know?? . lol. Im having a similair remembrance. South Node of the Moon Saggitarius and my Scorpio AC remembers my Moon in Aquarius with Chiron and Saturn Conjunct IC.. SF. Maybe we both remember the secret handshake. Memories of Ancient Egypt and burlap clothes.. And so many other meditative visions. Including Anubis.. Sounds nuts doesn't it.. But I am being guided by Symbolism and syncronicities. Thanks CB for all that your do for the community. Your a true Teacher. TY
So beautiful to see this again after a couple of years. It autoplayed. Steven Forest was on my booklist from The Melbourne School of Astrology in 2007. When I first saw this, and Demetra and many others, it's like hearing astrological rockstars. Thank you so much Chris. Deciding to look up aspects and houses again and discovering The Astrology Podcast has given me back so much of myself that has been missing. Ray Factor died suddenly in 2012. He was so important to me. He'd just adore this discussion.
Absolutely loved this pod cast!... it all makes perfect sense. Chris smiled so much....such a joy to see that, these two men really liked each other and understood deeply this concept.
Steven Forres is so amazing. His destiny was probably in his school and that is why he had to pivot. His past lives view is revelatory, and his intelligence is really bright and his insights amazing. And I love his aura. He feels like a lovely person
Such a beautiful discussion... seriously amazing. Two people who I totally respect discussing the common ground with mutual respect between views and generations. As it should be 🖤
Informative retrospective on the varied approaches to astrology. Thank you. It i important to see that the placement of planets only speak to potentialities and general trends for manifestion... the best message is that those energies manifest in varied forms for each one of us.
Thank you so much Chris for making this knowledge available, and thank you Steven for sharing it. Being passionate about astrology, and a student of Tibetan Buddhism, this podcast is weaving together several major fields of study I'm interested in.. And actually, I must say, listening to Steven's words awoke a sort of memory of an astrology I must have studied before. It was like his words gave a body and brought together intuitions I had about astrology... Priceless, thank you ❤🙏
“:four thousand years” I had a dream a few years ago of being among the friends or companion of the mythological Achilles, damn it was so vidid as we carried his body from the battle field.....Achilles seems like a rouge un-contained version of RAHU, not someone I would hang out with these days.....but there I was back in the day weeping over the body of a cruel narcissist.....I am not for a second suggesting that this is evidence of a past life, but hey my Jupiter and KETU are both in the 12th house.....so who knows.....watching this as I write.....looks amazing
It found it interesting that Steven said when he was younger he wanted that structure and now is open to all of the differences. It seems he moved from his Capricorn sun to Aquarius.😊
I think this is my favorite interview in this podcast. And I enjoy the podcast a lot. There is a good chemistry among you two. A gem to see Chris Brennan smile this much, very interesting comments on the south node and ethics. I am really new to astrology, just trying to understand myself better and get a clearer vision of my purpose in life, started reading a lot about the north node, and now that I started to dig on planets, the houses, and seeing how rich this is, I am completely sucked. Thanks to contents like this. I am sincerely thankful ❤
Love Steven Forrest -what a lovely, sensitive and intelligent man. I would love to have a consultation with him but he's too booked up. I have many of his books and got so much from them ------I have south node in Sag in the 2nd house -I remember many past lives with parallel themes -being a warrior.soldier (native american, roman etc) finding a raise in consciousness and not wanting to fight and kill. Wanting Peace. I shared this with my fellow fighters and was killed - I now have scorpio rising and Moon, with Mars in Libra in the 11th. Jupiter cnj NN in Gemini in 8th. I have a few basic themes come to me about these placements but have alot to learn - I am a student of astrology/occult still and will always be. I came in to this life awake psychically -Moon Neptune rising. Thank you Chris -Love your work -Deep thanks to you from me.
I think I have watched every episode of the astrology podcast this one was by far my favorite it brought me to tears more than once. Thank you Chris, Thank you Steven.
I'd like to understand the meaning of south node in switched placements. My south node is in pisces in the 6th house. It's hard to undertand why such contradictory
I find that search bar at the top is a good point to start. If you keep it simple. Go back again and again and it will build a broader selection for you. Plan on a lot of face time on YT.😁🙏♉♈ ♑⬆ My south node in 6th house?
This is one of the episodes that pulled me reluctantly back into astrology where I want to joke about how it’s too short while leaving a 100,000 word comment. Forrest is very great and I enjoyed the interview and I don’t mean this negative at all; it’s actually emphasizing his point. If we need to evolve our charts to remove negative chart traits, isn’t that the same good vs bad religious conditioning? It’s just something I playfully smiled at listening to it just because it is hard to not think of things this way while also understanding what he really means when he says it. The toxic reads he’s discussing is actually one of the very first experiences I had with astrology and ironically a big part of how I was raised because my mother hated Leo’s and I’m a 12th house Leo sun Mercury. Seeing that the first time it was interpreted as a karmic punishment for harming others with my ego while I didn’t exactly see it that way. The more I looked at my chart with this weird “what?” response (it’s gorgeously harmonic while being extremely difficult with the Devil in the details) I also felt that’s the exact chart I’d choose if I was born into this life. I feel like everyone should read their chart with this familiarity and I view the universe as amoral where we choose what experiences we want to experience as opposed to judging gods punishing us. If I wanted a sort of selfless life to a degree there’s only certain ways to achieve that along with 12th house experiences and I actually treasure that. Since this is node related, I like my 1st to 7th axis is always astrologers use of explanation because it’s described as horrific while I don’t think it’s that bad; it depends on how you look at it. From the view of spiritual development you’d want to develop knowledge of shadow and that is that axis as opposed to using astrology to describe the other, if that makes sense. 7th house people just give guidance for 7th knowledge as opposed to reading some planets and some signs as “other”. What tipped my scales to actually get back into astrology early is seeing a nodal read related to chakras where my Ketu axis impacts the 3rd and 11th with detachment along with the 7th and rahu increases activity in the 5th and 9th. If I do what astrologers say to do (neglect/move away from the south node), I actually naturally detach from the 3rd, 7th, and 11th houses where if I’m in a south node mode it appears I’m in a rahu engagement; it’s backwards, yet, they work together. The feeling my Ketu is I’ve done 7th, 3rd, and 11th house things so many times that it’s predictable and not at all exciting yet necessary to be balanced out. Extremely difficult to explain which is why nodes are fascinating. To me charts are spiritual and I don’t limit spiritual to only non physical because being overindulgent to rich beyond use can be inverted spiritual experiences. A 2nd house south node in some interpretations can be financially successful where their sense of security is unfulfilled regardless. Some may be so rich they need to go into space to feel connected to the earth or feel a sense of life. (lol) otherwise it’s empty isolation. In the karmic wheel those are ones who are in their 1st physical carnation as human which shines a light on those misfortunate and the experiences they want. I like he mentioned astrology needs simplified and less competitive (combative) astrologers. I’m taking a liking to archetypal astrology this time around. The University of Virginia perceptual studies warn against past life regression therapy and they’re starting to study past life memories and personality similarities. If dove into enough, you’ll find between life memories of children who recall spending time with their parents before the parents decided to have children; it appears we pick our parents. Reincarnation in terms of memories is roughly 4 1/2 years, reincarnated often in the same families and culture UNLESS they have traumatic lives and decide to reincarnate in another family or culture, at least, In confirmed past life cases.
Thank you so much for doing this episode with Mr. Steven Forrest. A voice that I would always love to hear and wisdom that I always look forward to digest as much as possible. Karma is derived from the Sanskrit word called 'Kri’ which means 'to do’. Swami Vivekananda, in his book, 'Karma Yoga’ wrote the below phrase: In connection with metaphysics, it sometimes means, the effects of which our past actions were the causes. Coming from the background of Hindu philosophy and Vedic Astrology, I myself find it hard to wrestle and come to a conclusion with Karma related astrology. Reincarnation, although tied in with the concept of Karma and not being used in a right way (as Mr. Forrest put it very rightly, "toxicity"). I find Mr. Forrest's opinion of Karma related to "Habit" very interesting. I'd love hear more about it. Thanks again!
What is inherently beautiful with all ways of interpreting astrology utilizing different systems is that they all reach the same Truth. They all require a bit of science and a bit of artfulness... but still the same Truth.
I believe whole heartily in Esoteric Astrology especially with the South Node in my 12th house along with the planet Pluto planet of destruction, death, rebirth and past life experiences. I have had dreams that correlate to being fatally wounded during Pearl Harbor as a pilot.
Extremely powerful and interesting discussion with Steven Forrest about reincarnation. I do follow a Christian Doctrine created in the XIX Century in France by Allan Kardec (1857). He basically wrote 5 main books , compiling messages from thousands of psychics through the World explaining about the spiritual world, Law and Effect Laws, reincarnation and it's purposes, mediumship, gospel, etc. It flourished in Latin America with millions of followers. It is called Spiritism.
3:35 mark --- *chassis, meaning "case, box, frame" trace that back to a root word in the Persian language, *chass, meaning "one body, person, one individual".
In Vedic Astrology, there are 16 charts, not one. And there are 27 x 4 = 108 types of Nakshatra (stories). Vedic Astrology shows the evolution of the soul., it is very hard to read...
The Natal chart is the the energy signature the soul, as it has developed over lifetimes, and that is the entry frequency for the path on which the soul is going to travel in the current lifetime.
Excellent🥇Thank you Chris. I adore Steven Forrest and his work. Past lives can be proven through past life regressions (Brian Weiss etc etc). ✨💫✨Astrologers vary immensely in their education, intelligence, spiritual depth and wisdom.💫✨💫
I have a few questions remaining. Are past lives accumulating in the resent? I would think so. Steven is talking about the south node connected to 1 past life: the previous. This leaves a question about how far back this thing goes. Another question i had was about the first discovery of the south-node past life connection and how this one is made in the first place: this question is left unanswered… is there any specific information to back up this knowledge? And where does it come from? It can’t be just one guy stating it at some point. would like to know more…
Unfortunately Steven the SPSS software is still being used today, which may already know, but it made me giggle when I heard you say it as no one I know likes this software but it’s so widely used! It was a bit of a joke when I was at university and my son used it a couple of years ago. Who’d have thought! A funny bit of info for you anyway. Fascinating talk here and I want to thank you both.
This guy is great, but his philosophy of time is very old-fashioned. Cause and effect is a fairly outdated model. Cause and effect are both related. It cannot be stated beyond reasonable doubt that the effect succeeds the cause and the cause precedes the effect. It may be the opposite. Indeed, do we not look for past causes precisely IN THE FUTURE? If the present is simply an ever-receding moment, ephemeral as it is consistent, then the future must be the place we search for the past. Thus Lacan says that the repressed content Freud alluded to in his texts returns from the future, implying of course that effect might condition cause rather than the other way around. It is at least plausible that cause-effect / effect-cause can work in either direction. It isn't necessary to rely on a mechanistic view of time any longer.
