Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 last episode Pieck can transform into titan over and over again. Reiner fights all Warhammer titan alone. #attackontitan #mikasa #leviackerman
@@peptobismol6140well, Warhammers specialise in hardening even more than the armored titan. They can make whatever they want from it, but the variants aren't really using their ability aside from making a weapon for themselves, and then storming at the enemy. We saw with the original Warhammer and eren how much utility the power gives, yet those warhammers don't really use it. If they used it to the full extent, Reiner would be a goner
If the warhammer made giant structures like the Lara Tybur to attack Reiner way too much they would be exhausted pretty quickly but in this case since there are a lot of Warhammers ganging up on Reiner that would've been a better tactic for sure. But tbh none of the Ancient Nine Titans really did fight in the most ideal way so I don't really think it's just the Warhammer's problem@@neuu8708
This is the real Reiner, no split personality, no doubt, no regret, just a man that strives when he has a purpose or goal. I’ve always liked him since he was the most human character who had most of the hard choices made for him.
Nah, that misses the point the doubt and regret, the split persona’s all make up Reiner Only in accepting that and it’s atonement is when he’s finally able to do things like this We wouldn’t have that without these other sides of him, they’re all him, they just don’t define him.
He's def my favorite character, but they should've given him the John Marston ending, Y should Reiner live a happy life after the sins he has committed
The real Reiner _is_ his split personality. Thr real Reiner _is_ a broken man, a broken child. The real Reiner is a warrior, soldier, and none and all of the above.
@@Majima669 agree. he should have died in battle, not only because of his sins, but also because that's what he wanted himself. he was trying to off himself, after all
My theory is that the armoured Titan’s durability is influenced by the user’s willpower. When Reiner was broken and confused, 7 of 9 Titans could break his armour with ease without weaponry. But when his mind was clear and he had lots of willpower, he could take on multiple warhammer Titans and survive the full force of the colossal Titan’s explosion.
That makes a lot of sense tbh. As for a Titan with such a name, the Armored Titan probably took the most punishment out of the others in the battles it took part in after Reiner and Bertoldt got exposed.
@@hylianlegendsyou're wrong, it was said in the show multiple times how important their will is when it comes to transforming. Do you not remember eren not being able to transform when he lost his will to fight? Then he finally transformed when he had that stake through him before he fought the female titan? He transformed originally from his anger at the world. So saying that reiners will has to do with whether he dies or not while taking the colossal titans nuke isn't even really up for debate. If he had no will he would've died. Strong will doesn't literally make his armor stronger but it makes him survive more hits by keeping him alive in his titan form where with no will his titan would just stop working like it's supposed to basically. But yes it doesn't literally make the armor stronger, but makes him able to regenerate more quickly & tank more hits before he dies. The will is the fuel for his titan form. By that logic more will means more fuel which easily could be the difference between living & dying when taking so many hits.
Also I'm Season 4 he tanks way more thunder spears than in season 3 . in season 3 in only took Like 12 thunder spears to take him down whilst in Season 4 it took like 50 Yeagerists with 2+ thunder spears each to overwhelm The Armoured Titan.
They failed my dude. Losing 80% of the population can't be considered a victory, and I'm the end they didn't deserve it. Eren's actions weren't but the result of all of these characters actions and unwillingness to find a peaceful way out of their situation. Like someone in the show put it, Eren is the embodent of all their sins that was summoned due to their greed and selfishness
Yeah kinda disappointed he wasn’t more of a factor in beating Eren himself. Thematically he should’ve been the one in paths fighting Eren & not Armin. Two kids pushed down paths neither wanted
@proskeptical789 fighting the founding titan wielder in the place he kinda can manipulate? Bold move. Eren was literally jumping between their ages and locations while in there. Plus, Eren talked to Reiner in his own realm. That's why when it ends they are all sitting there baffled, cause eren explained to them what was happening, and how he really didn't have any control over it, but in stopping him they erase all the titans currently there
All his life Reiner was fighting someone else’s fight, doing someone’s dirty work for them. Now, He’s fighting for something he truly believes. Fighting to protect himself and others. Finally showing why he deserves to have the Armored Titan
Reiner was always my favorite character, and I know I can’t be alone. He just overcomes, all while protecting others better than he kills them. That’s why he fights so well here, because he’s finally centered and content with himself, protecting virtually everyone he loves and thousands of innocents too. This hits extra hard because I was always as interested in the warrior trio as I was the main characters years ago, and Reiner was #1 for me. When his arc began again in S4, that made the show for me and in combat here and by holding back the hallucigenia he’s the MVP.
Yeah all he did was cause the death of 500,000 strangers when he broke Wall Maria. And then was directly responsible for many of his friends deaths at Trost. All of Marley are garbage. The warriors too. Only Zeke isn’t so bad.
@alexandrostheodorou8387 Yeah when he was just a kid. He did what Eren did at Liberio, hence they’re the ‘same.’ Even though it was actually for a nobler reason. And he didn’t directly kill all those people; it was the Paradis elites who killed that many by forcing them to “fight” titans with no weapons. And somehow Zeke “isn’t so bad” when he tortured Miche to death in one of the worst ways in the entire show. Reiner barely sought to kill anyone directly before S4
@@saadqazi3833 You forget Annie making the suvey corps Yo Yo’s? And remember at Trost he was the leader. He was responsible for continuing the mission. Decided to kill people that he knew for many years slept and trained next too. Eren attacked the moment Willy Declared War and the World cheered in support to genocide Paradis. Reiner did cold blooded murder 2 times and arguably worse at Trost.
@@saadqazi3833 bahaha ‘he was just a kid’ what a stupid excuse. Did you forget why marley wanted to wipe out the eldians in the first place? It was to get their natural resources. Did you forget why eren blew up liberio? To stop them from doing so. ‘Their the same’. What a dumb take.
Reiner and Eren are complete flips of eachother. Eren was a hero who fell. Reiner was a villain who rose. Erens convictions were unwavering while Reiner was always held back by his own self doubt. This later flipped, with Eren beginning to question himself and Reiner finally finding something he WANTS to fight for. Its like poetry, it rhymes
I think Reiner was someone who fell from grace, he had respect, friends and love from them. And sadly he knew that it couldn't last forever because as much as it killed him inside he had to make the choice that he never wanted to make, to betray them. As 4 years passed Reiner was in the deepest darkest pits of hell and in his worst moment when he held the gun to his mouth he made the decision to fight for his loved ones since he couldn't fight for himself thus becoming the hero he wanted to be as a child. I believe Reiner's story is one of redemption and how it's never too late to make amends and right the wrongs of the past. He fell but he rose to much higher levels.
That's just it: there were no true villains here. EVERYONE was a hero pitted against each other. It wasn't too far off from what Fire Emblem Heroes wishes it was.
Proved Reiner always deserved inheriting the Armored Titan & his only weaknesses were mental. Glad he finally got a scene like this instead of just being Eren’s personal sparring dummy. Just wish this was Reiner ACTUALLY fighting Eren 1v1 but they still nailed it
Reiner never held back whenever he and Eren fought, that was some fanboy excuse that hurt Reiner more than it helped him lol but real talk, it was a toxic excuse that never should've started
I mean.. Eren's resolve was to kill Reiner when it's quite opposite for Reiner, the only time he took things seriously was when he fought Eren for the last time in S4..
@@CHRISCAMPO-wq8bi I wouldn’t say Reiner held back & went easy rather he was just way too mentally sapped to put up any sort of fight besides their first encounter when Eren was still learning how to use the attack titan. Big difference, when he came clean about Marco you can see the shift in his use of the armored altogether
@@proskeptical789 exactly, Reiner was never mentally sapped whenever he fought Eren. he always tried his damndest to beat him. I could be a Reiner fanatic and still hate how these fanboys excuses for him, between how they disrespect Reiner and the story, and what they say doesn't make sense with it either.
@@CHRISCAMPO-wq8bithe hell? How did you not comprehend throughout the franchise he held back and he was mentally stricken to fight in his best effort? You do realize back in S2&3 he needed Eren alive and not dead? And if he lands a killing blow, the entire mission fails? Also around that time he was rusty from using the titan because of not using it for 5 years. Let’s not also forget that Eren had mikasa aiding him in the first fight to gain the upper hand and also the help from survey corps in 2nd fight. As for the season 4 fights, Reiner was still mentally stricken to fight. But if you compare his mental health here, his morale is exponentially better. Reiner also is the better hand to hand combatant between him and Eren since he had both training regimes from 2 domains and Isayama even rated his fist fighting skills to be a 9/10 in his guidebook. Reiner is also the fastest out of the titans between beast, female, war hammer and attack titan as he once ran so fast without armor on his calves to the point Eren got folded and couldn’t react. Reiner also has the better stamina, endurance, regeneration and combat techniques. His armor is even more durable than Eren’s hardening as Jean’s blades could break through hardening but Mikasa’s blades shatters upon impact across Reiner’s armor. Reason why Eren shatters his armor is because the plates on his face is quite thin
I love this, Reiner usually always loses due to his hate for himself but here he doesn't let that affect him, and it is shown he fights better than Annie here, I knew deep down that in reality Reiner was the strongest warrior. This is him fighting using combat skills and weapons not just hitting or running towards an enemy.
To be fair, Reiner has the heart of the Scout with the pride of a Warrior. He had a lot of potential if his depression didn't hold him back, he was already the strongest Warrior Marley ever had.. no wonder he was given the rank of Vice Commander. Not only is he a skilled Warrior, but also a leader.. he's the one who planned on taking Eren down in S4P2, cornered Eren and had nearly defeated him.. if not for Zeke interfering all of a sudden.
People seemed to always overlook Pieck as a strong warrior but I think here she proved that despite having one of the weaker of the nine she can still use its assets to its best abilities and be a threat
0:38 really takes me back to Reiner vs Eren in season 2. Insane how these tables have turned by having you wanting Reiner to fight and survive. I'm truly going to miss this anime.
" if you can't love me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best" that sums up Reiner perfectly, for years he's been getting shit for not fighting as well as eren or annie only to prove everyone wrong in the best way possible and wresting with the hallucigenia was the wildest part of it all.
This is the time we really saw reiner fighting with a lot of technique. He was really outnumbered by the war hammers.but he fought excellently. We saw eren not being able to fight with only one war hammer.but reiner took on all of em
0:38 This Warhammer titan design is awesome. I'm so glad we got to see more of the Warhammer with this ending. It's also satisfying to finally see Reiner fighting all out against other titans.
Its really cool how good Pieck is at using her titan even though at first glance you would think that her titan is really bad and weak. She uses it really in a smart way
In my opinion, all of reiner's scenes in the final battle show that if he never beat eren it was because he was mentally weak, because physically he's an almost unstoppable beast. In the first fight he was already having doubts and problems so he didn't give his all (besides, his mission was to capture eren, not kill him). In the second fight the same but worse, he fought with an even more unstable mind. plus, reiner like eren and annie could improve his hardening (you know, the crystalline hardening), and he never used that card against eren, another proof that he always held back for one reason or another.
Let alone his combat skills and experience are enough to stall Eren, if he had a much healthier mind or if he had talked to Bertholdt about this he would've been so powerful.
It's not that he got better per se, but that he finally let go of his depression and doubts. He finally fought for something he believed in and didn't get held back by his own thoughts
Man, I used to hate him from the moment he confessed that he was the Armoured titan. But he was always an intriguing character for me and I didn't know why. After watching his backstory in S4 he became my favorite. He's so well written as if he is human. He is like one of us - flawed, but still human. Not a one sided character. I'm glad he found his reason to live and to keep moving forward. For me Reiner is the true hero of the anime, since he has an immense character growth. People do change. His story shows us that the toghtest battles are the ones we are fighting within ourselves. But we can always change for the better.
Agreed, Reiner's story is one of redemption and it shows that it's never too late to right the wrongs of the past and that you dont need to have a good start in life to be great. The man made the hallucigenia, a godlike creature his bitch twice.
Yep he and Eren are the best characters in this series. The cast and crew and the story declared Eren as the most human and the hero of the story, but Reiner is just as amazing a character.
Reiner wanted all the smoke. He just became weak throughout the series because its said that a shifter is only as strong as their will to live and will to fight and to have purpose. Reiner lost that throughout the series now he has it back, and he is standing on business
Reiner never got enough credit for his fighting skills. Even though Eren beat him multiple times he brought him to the brink every time he fought him. During the War for Paradis my man was palming Eren and mindless Falco down with one hand each by himself.
The fact that everyone still keeps saying that the cart titan is weak 💀 she literally took down 1 warhammer and 3 jaw titans all alone because of her endurance.
Now we need and aot 3 game that covers season 4, or dlc for aot 2, imagine fighting off the ancient warhammers/any other titans in that game, would be insane
Fun fact: Reiner might had been the worst Warrior, but Reiner was the worst among the best of the best (the Warrior unit is the elite of the Eldians across all of Marley's territory), so he's likely the most skilled Armored Titan to ever live. Also, Eren was just REALLY good at fighting, he easily outclasses everyone by the end, Reiner simply was no match for him.
As a child he was the worst but as he grew older be became better, during the 4 year timeskip he didn't lose any battles and in hand to hand combat is where Reiner is at a disadvantage where eren has the advantages, yeah In a brawl eren is much better but in a warzone Reiner is much better then eren, eren would get destroyed. Reiner is the tank, he's got the experience and knowledge to succeed and knows where to aim and his titan is built for it and during his time as a warrior he has achieved more then eren has ever gained as a scout( before eren went AWOL)
*no match* Literally Eren in season 2: "Mikasa please help, I got Reiner with Annie's move I definitely not remember for plot armor, help, Isayama needs to give me at least 4 titan shifting abilities to outclass him, but this isn't season 4, please help cuts his legs, I'm the bird protagonist!!!"
@@tavoa952And Reiner toying with Eren in their very first fight, he's just walking towards a knocked out Eren menacingly not giving a single care to Mikasa trying to slice him.
I went from loving Reiner, to hating Reiner, to pitying him, to loving him and cheering him on. The opposite goes for Eren. This anime had me on a rollercoaste ride of emotion and existential questions about myself and life holy fuck thank you Isayama. So many anime’s rush towards the end, but you took your time to go deep with every single characters development!!
Eren took Reiner out when facing the Warhammer Titan because he knew he wouldn't be able to take them both on. Reiner as much as people cannot accept always has Eren beaten. Eren had help every single time and even says "so I lost" when he was captured.
He wasn't winning, the Warhammer came in clutch. You saw how he couldn't free himself from Reiner's grasp while Porco attempts to eat him. Eren needed the Warhammer so he could fight the Warriors in Shiganshina before he activates the rumbling, because if you look closely Eren's Attack Titan can surely body Reiner's Armored Titan but never beat him, their fights always end up in stalemates because in the earlier seasons the Scouts put Reiner in a disadvantage like Mikasa interfering Reiner's attempt to break free from Eren's hold and the Scouts jumping on Reiner in their second fight. S4 Eren had help as well, sure he fought the Warhammer well but Lara didnt even looked fazed from Eren's beatdown. Lara, with no experience and formal military training managed to effortlessly beat Eren. The Scouts came in clutch before Lara could kill him, Mikasa distracted Lara to gas her out so Eren can capture her. Do mind Porco clearly beat Eren's ass but couldn't think strategically because he gave in to his anger. There is a reason why Eren took Reiner down in liberio, one is that this current Reiner may be depressed but knows him well by nature. And of course Reiner has the overall advantage if he wasnt taken down by Eren in Liberio, those cannons set up in around the stage can surely force Eren to defend himself while Reiner keeps the pace and pressure.
Eren beat Reiner on his own every time, and season 4 proven that when Eren is by himself and Reiner has help, Eren STILL comes out on top. Also, very fucking convenient that you ignored Eren's season 3 dialogue looking back on that fight you mentioned, which confirmed the exact opposite of what you claim, nevermind the following fight and Reiner's dialogue which also debunk your bullshit.
also fyi, Eren took out Reiner in Liberio like that to protect Falco and make sure he is safe from the carnage. At the end of that fight, Eren was still able to fight Reiner even after battling the warhammer and jaw titans.
I mean, you do know Reiner's only objective in season 3 was to capture Eren right? Reiner did say he can't bite Eren out on his own, because HE KNOWS the Scouts may also assist Eren just in case. Do mind Eren underestimated Reiner here and was overconfident until the tables turned and almost got his head blown off by a single punch that shattered the earth around them. Reiner was about to take Eren seriously until the Scouts took over and jumped him with thunderspears. Do mind Reiner only transformed in liberio to save Porco and not fight Eren, there's a BIG reason why Eren took advantage of Reiner and Falco just so he doesn't have to deal with Reiner in the following battle that's about to happen and also to protect Falco from the carnage as you said. But if Reiner didn't go with Falco or convinced Falco to stay with Gabi and the others, well Paradis might be dead by now because Reiner, Porco and Pieck are there to assist Lara which means Eren may have gotten eaten by now.. do mind Zeke had already turned his back on his fellow Warriors, he's just nitpicking his abilities against the Scouts to avoid losing more casualties.. if Zeke actually took the matters seriously and took advantage of the Scouts losing then Eren is no longer with them and the rumbling never happened.
You’re telling me that the WarHammer Titans can create ANY weapon based on imagination. But all of them just wanted ONE SWORD for this specific fight!?😂
Structural Hardening is quite taxing. That and they can't create complicated weapons like guns - and in this case a easy to make melee weapon is preferable to fighting bare handed.
But is no one gonna talk about how broken the cart titan is? She can regenerate *hundreds* of times consecutivley. In your average war there's just zero stopping that and she's probably clutched several stupid wars Marley's gotten itself into herself.
Before this scene we all thought that the cart titan was probably the weakest titan in fighting but in the hnads of someone like pieke the cart titan is actually quite useful in fighting
reiner gets so much shit but bro has the mf dog in him man. seeing the fight scenes in the final really makes me want to see an aot titan shifter pvp game so badly
