When I accidentally pulled off my oven door last night while trying to move it, this was the only video that gave me what I needed to put it back on. I was tearing my hair out. Thank you.
My oven door been off for a few months now and I've watched a few YT videos that were of no help because one hinge is spring loaded and the other isn't. Decided to try again today so I searched on YT, stumbled on your video and after ten minutes the oven door is back on..I can't even express how happy and accomplished I feel right now!! Thanks.
Dude, many hellos from Russia, with love! I join the most of the comments that you’re a real “kracavchik” as we say in Russian 🔥🔥🔥 You literally saved men’s lives all over the world by publishing this wonderful video, while anybody is good-for-nothing masters in installing oven doors 😂
After a dozen futile attempts, I gave up and sat down to watch Sunday football. Then I decided to check RU-vid and was comforted that so many had same problem and that you provided a quick fix. Also used spark plug socket. In just a few minutes, the door was back on saving an expensive and embarrassing service call!
Genius! Especially with the tip to pry open and "hold" open at 45 degrees with a small object long enough to insert the door in to the frame and then extend to 180 degrees, while installing. Spent hours trying to find explainer videos but THIS is the only one that showed all. It even works on overseas models which have removable glass and slide-in hinges.
Thank you so much! You might have just saved my marriage. My husband had gotten to the "why in the hell did you take the damn thing off, anyway?!" level of frustration. Since I had just cleaned the oven, I was in no mood for attitude. 🤣 So very much appreciate this video!
Thank you so much. Hubby and I struggled and struggled....then read the manual...which didn't help at all....then we discovered this video. Simple ... 2 minutes (tops) after we fought with the darned door for over an hour. This is after we couldn't get the door off to make it easier for me to clean. No, I won't use the self-cleaning feature. It terrifies me. Thank you! Thank you!
Just the info I needed! Only one hinge came off and I couldn’t get it back in. After watching your video, I used my Channel locks to pull the hinge out to where it needed to be and I was able to get it back in place. You explained thing well and camera angle was great. Thank you!!! Feelin’ accomplished! 💪🏼
THANK YOU so much...hours of frustration and pinched fingers to get the oven door on. I was about to call a repair man until by accident I stumbled upon this video. Happy wife and working oven again!
Thank you! I had fought this for quite some time till I figured out the hinges had to be in the "open" position in order to be inserted correctly. Never would have thought of useing the driver bits to hold them open. Great video tip. Clear and to the point.!
I was praying for an answer to this and hours of trying to fix this last night--God shared he would help me--I woke up this morning and your video was in the youtube recommended feed...God is so good! And you are good too! Blessings multiplied to you
Thank you for making this video. I was struggling with my Zline oven door until I saw your video. I needed a little more opening so I cut two small aluminum wedges rather than using the screwdriver tips. VOILA. Thanks again!
Thank you for blessing others with this knowledge. Our hinge is a little different from yours but we used the concept you shared and the Lord blessed for us to finally get the door back on.
That was really a great idea. really it was. i have been trying to figure out what to do. door hinge kept popping closed. thank you much for you greatness in thought!
Totally saved my bacon with this video. And likely a 100 dollar service call. My wife took it off to clean it while I was working and couldn't figure out how to get it back on. Thanks man!
Thanks for sharing the proper way to get the hinges in position. My wife and kids tried for 3 hours trying someone else's method while I was asleep. Once I saw your video, it jarred my memory about the last time I removed and reinstalled an oven door (and used the same method as you). It took about 5 minutes to reinstall the door using this method. Thanks for that!
Your fix worked over the others I watched. I didn't need to stick anything in as the guard took that spot. But I did use the socket wrench but which gave me better torque. I even got the door on faster than I thought I would. Thank you for posting this solution..
Thanks, thanks, thanks. The Whirlpool installation guide showed the door hinges straight out, and they won't go in that way. I'd never have gotten the danged thing back on w/o your video.
Thank you sir!!! I was frustrated for an hour trying to fix my oven door. Watched this video, and it literally took me seconds to fix it, because of that screw head trick 😂SMH...
Thank you for posting this! The clips (locks) on my door would not "lock" open and hinge kept springing back. Today I will try this approach. Thanks again!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! Mother and daughter were almost to blows on this. I (the mother) need a lot of chocolate ice cream after fighting with this oven door. Now, thanks to your video, I can really enjoy my ice cream. Thank you for your very helpful video.
Thank you so much for your help it was so easy to do it I had three weeks with my door down and I cannot put it up but watching your video made it so easy to put the door back inside 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 god bless you
Thank you for this video. I got the Whirlpool-Gold door reinstalled in 30 seconds, after fighting a displaced hinge with a stuck clip for a couple hours.
With the second hinge you can easily see the hinge holder that you slide up to lock it when you have the hinge pulled out. It is over the hinge you open and then you slide it up into the hole that you pulled the hinge out of to hold the hinge out as you put it into the oven hole. Then you open the door fully and put the hinge holder back down.
I came here to say the same thing. The hinge lock is inside there. You can see it on the second hinge. The same thing happened to me when I took the door off it went too far back inside and I had to haul the hinge down and haul the lock back out.
This was a great video - I have a kitchen aide built in electric oven and spent days trying to figure this out! I used a 1" pipe to bring the hinge down and the screwdriver bits worked out great - thanks for posting this !
On my oven, one hinge isn't spring loaded and the clip worked, the other hinge WAS spring loaded and the clip wouldn't work to stop it from springing back
