In majority, natural grass is grown in mostly in Sub continent countries like India, in most foreign countries they used either a mixture of natural + artificial or 100% artificial, they even used remotely made custom Drop-in pitches in multipurpose stadiums.

@@mohammedazharansari9628 you know what.... On June 2 new Zealand and England are going to play in Lord's. On June 18 India and New Zealand are going to play in "Southampton "
Because of weather fluctuations. In Asia, the weather remains mostly hot that's why the grass grows upto its extent and we can change it upto any kind of track. But in Europe and other western countries, the weather remains cold and snowy. That's why they use soft grounds and artificial grass
Lord is kind of overrated to me, there are many great players of the game struggled to prove their mettle in venues like MCG, Napier, Oval, Barbados. All the UK venues should not be used for ICC championships as even T20 matches cannot be completed without rain. Had the game of Cricket not originated from England I doubt there will not be any DLS method in existence.
No it's real grass. It's just pregrown then cut into rolls which are then rolled out onto fresh topsoil. Lords cricket ground is over 200 years old we only use real grass.
