What happens when these cats grow in population and become bold enough to enter human homes and take children as an evening snack? Let's be careful because we are so far removed from nature that we forget that it is dangerous and we forget what it means to be on the menu of another predator. These cats look big enough to take a baby from its pram.

@dibdap2373
@dibdap2373 4 года назад
@@allmightoneforall1338 Other animals also cause animals to go extinct. Animal species have been going extinct for a lot longer than we have existed. Most of the time the cause of extinction by humans isn't done out of malice, it's done by how we shape the natural world to better suit our own needs. It's just inevitable that when one species is successful others die off and that is how it has been since time immemorial. We are THE only species in the world that try to protect animals and ensure their survival. I'm so sick of seeing people trash humans like they're a stain on the world. Many do care and it's pretty clear that we do. But why take it as an opportunity to hate ourselves when we've contributed positively more than at any other time in our own history let alone the history of the planet as a whole.

There are around 300 lynx in Portugal, with an already stable population in Guadiana valley and Alto Alentejo since at least 2017-2018. There are not being just put in Portugal in 2019. In fact there are no longer in the critically endangered status.

That was a young male probably 30% smaller than adults. They're twice the size of a domestic cat, and half the size of the Eurasian lynx
