After a troubled encounter with superstar RU-vidr Mark Denney, Sean Bagshaw lures me into his camper for a one-on-one which results in a stiff neck. Nick Page sublets his roof tent to Michael Shainblum and Ian Plant demands the $200 that I owe him. Things get worse when my stalker shows up at the 'Out of Chicago' photography conference and Ryan Smith takes all my glory.
In spite of these challenges I still manage to shoot some beautiful seascapes and indulge in my new obsession - wave photography. To finish off the experience, I visit a haunted lighthouse for some sunset and blue hour photography.

Gavin. The talent of the fab 4 simply towering. You, sir, are inspiring to watch. All of you are just a joy, together and separately. Don’t want to inject any insecurity here, but is Mr. Heaton throwing a touch of shade with a bit of Northern England hyperbole here? ... or is he just being his ever-so sweet self? Hmmm. After bit of Nepalese AMS follow by New Mexican sunstroke, I’d say let’s give him the benefit of the doubt .... but watch ‘em. Can’t be too careful, especially with the “Project” and all. Keeping an eye out from here in Washington. Great stuff, man.

Well. You are all the best thing on the internet. From a guy who used to take 4x5 on both coasts and some of the same places (Nepal, too!) you guys are killing it. I just think you’re all friggin’ outstanding. There’s a hot business model lurking amongst amongst your tripods somewhere, too. Fstoppers? I’d say Flipfloppers reign! So MUCH talent. So much fun! Bad deal, JC. Heaton will clean a whole windshield for a fiver (about 7 bucks US, 40 bucks Canadian.) Perhaps more importantly, you never know where Gavin's lens cloth has been and what substances it has absorbed.

Sure, the price seemed reasonable ... until you considered the shipping charge. I think Hamgristle makes some fine photos (though obviously not on the level of Landscape Photographer of the Year). But his business ethics ... Well, I just hope that his parents don't learn about some of the scams he's tried to pull.
