In this video, I teach some of the basic steps used in Israeli folk dancing. Most of the dances that I teach are simply different combinations of these basic steps.

I agree with you that turning around would have been helpful. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to do that when these videos were filmed 8 years ago. I didn't have a microphone at the time, and I was concerned that if I turned around with my back to the camera, the sound would be very bad. These videos were not professionally done, and I posted them online simply so that my friends who learned the dances from me would be able to practice the dances at home. I never dreamed that these videos would get so many views! I have a suggestion for you that may make it easier to learn the dances. You can watch the video to see the flow of the dance. Then when you try the steps, just listen to what I am saying and do what I say (without watching the video). Hopefully, that would be less confusing.
