Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels that way. Regardless of what people say in criticism of this game, NC is absolutely the most immersive and realistic city scape ever made in a game. I'd say Chicago in the original Watch Dogs is pretty close second but yeah, AI aside, Night City just FEELS like a modern/future city.
Well, it's the most scripted. If you step out of the scripted narrative, the city is completely empty, feels dead and there is nothing to do. Night City in the video game is like Night City in the cyberpunk lore: Its superficial, all flashy, but if you look behind the curtain or spend too many time in it, there is just emptiness, and you feel robed.
There's something special about driving through the city while this blares. When you're going fast enough, you see the beauty of night city. You can no longer see the trash littering the streets, the decay in its bones, the graffiti marking gang territories or the unhealthy looking pedestrians walking like every step is causing them pain. All that's left is the city's lights all fighting for your attention.
I've just started Cyberpunk 2077 only after the 2.0 update, that was me being wise. Wiser would've been avoiding all spoilers, but the game now is so massive that there's always something new. I've seen nothing from the DLC but the trailer, I heard it was really good though, can't wait to finish the main story.
Good morning, Night City A day in the life I was on my own, catching a ride With the lady, her hair hangs down past her thighs Blue rimmed pistol, she satisfies Leather jacket, zipped up tight Man down, big ones coming, look for lost and found Iron gleams bright in Night City Where your appetite wears you out till sunrise She pulls my trigger Got me up alright It's a danger pretty here in Night City Here in Night City, got me up alright, here in Night City (Here in Night City, here in Night City, here in Night City) The way you chase and tease me Get me up so high We're on the rooftop and you don't compromise Too many hollow empty bodies lying round my street don't testify You've got to Whisper now on your Arm and so, we keep on moving Gotta take it slow, no! She pulls my trigger Got me up alright It's a danger pretty here in Night City She pulls my trigger Got me up alright It's a danger pretty here in Night City Here in Night City, got me up alright, here in Night City She pulls my trigger Got me up alright It's a danger pretty here in Night City Good night, Chooms
as a metalhead ive always hated slow songs. BUT this song is soo good the video helps too I love the scenery of this game sad it got the backlash it got
@@shadowboy7072 CDPR did a fantastic job of getting music that fit the game. For me it was "Major Crimes" by Health; the first time I heard it in-game after completing the Delamain quest, I pounded my desk and shouted "They [CDPR] F'ing get it !".
@@lordrefrigeratorintercoole288 Nah nah, listen, I love both Skyrim and Cyberpunk, but there is one thing, Skyrim might had Todd’s sweet little lies, but CDPR’s big bitter lies were way worst.
I'm absolutely not a fan of this style of music (I stick with Vexelstrom, Morro Rock and occasionally Ritual or Pacific Dreams) but there's something about this song that I dig. I think it may be how it just fits the game world and quite literally is talking about it. I disagree with the next-gen trailer: I love AND hate NC, I'd never want to live there IRL if it were real but at the same time, it is a pretty gorgeous city and it has lots of opportunity despite all the danger and garbage that goes on.
"I was on my own, catching a ride, with the lady, who's hair hangs down passed her thighs, blue rimmed pistol, she,,,,,,,, satisfies." Could this have been Judy being picked up for her first day working at Lizzie's ?
This track is awesome! BUT! 2:33 - whyy :D someone with Melodyne has tuned these two notes wrong and somehow hasn't spotted it while rendering. It kinda creeps me out :D
I really like this song, but the verses seem so disjointed from the chorus. I prefer the hook in the chorus much more than the verses in this song. They could've placed a little more emphasis on the harmonizing to elevate that mystical element in this song. I think the harmonizing is excellent, but somewhat buried.
I'm the opposite, personally. I find the verses to be better than the chorus but I think the contrast is intentional. As the trailer for the next-gen upgrade says, you either love or hate the city (I'm both). It's a visually gorgeous city with loads of opportunity for the ambitious yet it's also a filth-ridden cesspool of greed and psychopathy. Ergo, the contrast of the more upbeat chorus with the more melancholic verses really does capture the essence of Night City.
