I listen everyday, every Day, the voice of Marlène. I cannot live without listening Her. In 1987, I was very Young and I was in Paris. I went to Her building and I left Her a bouquet of Roses with a note.

The book written by Maria Riva was another "Tell All" that did nothing for the image of Marlene Dietrich. Nothing but another "Mommie Dearest" book. Maria should be ashamed, but the money from the book sales was probably what she wanted just as was the case with Christina Crawford, Bette Davis' daughter, Bing Crosby's son, and most recently Shirley, MacLaine's daughter. Judy Garland's children are a rarity in always stating they loved their mother and that love far surpassed the problems that may have existed.

@@Michaelneiss That is the question, "What is the Truth" and was that Truth based on the facts or the large sales of a book? I remember once when Cary Grant was asked about all the books written about him, he simply stated one could believe the facts about a movie's premiere date and other such statistics but as for the rest in the book, "forget it".

someone is lying here - in Maria's book, it's made clear the music director did NOT pull her into the orchestra pit...she fell on her own from booze and pills. So why now does this grandson blame the musical director? Someone is lying. I don't trust any of the Riva's.

Marlena Dietrich was a wonderful and absolutely glamorous extremely talented actress and entertainer....she was a real beauty and was beautiful from a baby to her old age...also she was beautiful with no makeup...Her daughter describes her life as tragic...to me I guess it would have to define the meaning of tragic..like compares to what?..she lived a long very successful life full of wonderful memories

Read the book by Maria and research malignant narcissistic personality disorder and the Cruel abuse They inflict. This does not diminish her talents, it explains the tragedy aspect. Most who have navigating and survived abuse can clearly identify the abusive patterns in others.

@Joann Moseley He is her grandson and that's a big part of the problem: as he is seen as an authority he should check his facts. By the way, he published a very good book "A Woman at War. Marlene Dietrich Remembered". There's also a very decent documentary by him. But here he unfortunately is speaking a lot of nonsense.

@@mistersurrealist It's a very long story. The truth is that the Riva family lied to the whole world about Marlene. Only some of the things Maria wrote in her book are true, but most things (the weirdest) are just lies the fruit of the sick mind of Maria Riva since her youth, jealous and envious of the boundless success of her mother. John David Riva also defrauded many Ebay shoppers by selling items that never belonged to Marlene. When his brother-in-law, whose brother is married to David, found out, he immediately deleted his account. The death of Marlene for the Riva family was not a tragic event but an infinite source of income. The world has yet to know what Riva are really made of! Ignoble people!

@gio4048 3 года назад
@Joann Moseley Almost always, everything said by the family is nothing but the truth, but you also have to understand one thing, if it wants to be a bastard, the family has all the means to turn the lie into the truth. it's the family that can lie! I have no doubts that in this case it went like this, also because I did not have the certainty by myself even though I felt it inside, but thanks to the testimonies of David Riva's brother-in-law! Who wants to do justice to both Marlene and her mother. The Riva are ravenous monsters, hungry for nothing less than money. And given what happened, they would be capable of anything to get it. ALL! You are a naive person ... Do you really think I waste time saying absurd things? I'm not that kind of person. If I dare to speak it is because I have proof! I wish that diabolical family rot in hell, for all the suffering they have caused and which unfortunately with their miserability continue to cause the poor soul without relief of Marlene! #JusticeforMarleneDietrich

Talent does not need to be dismissed here, but it’s very clear this talent was highly cultivated and was driven by extreme narcissistic personality disorder. If you’ve survived this you can then clearly see it.
@gio4048
@gio4048 3 года назад
@@Ursaminor31 I believe you believe that wretch without a doubt, I do not blame you. Everyone, as far as I can see, has fallen into her ingeniously organized trap, but fortunately I have not. Never. Even long before David Riva's brother-in-law, Mr. Robert Randolph, told me the truth, I never believed in the cruel slander directed against Marlene, created to avenge what nothing but an envious, miserable and failed daughter never could have been, and even to hasten Marlene to reach the grave as soon as possible, because she couldn't wait any longer to publish her killer book. Marlene knew everything, which is why she too couldn't wait to leave this world. I did not believe her because for years I have not seen Marlene as a simple actress but much more, a special person, to be loved precisely for her simplicity, as she would have liked, because beauty was not of primary importance for her, so you see there is no narcissism anywhere, just another lie to make people hate her more than they already do. I love Marlene with the heart, not with the mind, with the mind you can be wrong, but with the heart never. I felt that the person described by the daughter blinded by hatred was a Marlene who never existed, I understood it even before Robert gave me the certainty of what I always thought. But you see, everyone makes mistakes sooner or later, and Maria Riva did it all right, revealing to Robert that most of what she told about her mother are lies out of jealousy, because she could never be like her and because of this, she always hated her mother. And he's spreading everything, and nothing will be done to stop him because he's right about everything. Not even the Rivas have lifted a finger, ahaha. Be really careful, because in this wicked world the guilty becomes the victim and the victim becomes guilty, and Marlene paid dearly for it. Earthly justice did nothing, because Marlene was not killed with weapons but with the harsh words of her toxic and evil family. It will be up to Divine justice to do it. And Marlene said, that words hurt a lot more than broken bones. #JusticeforMarleneDietrichuntilitisfinallydone
