Relationship Between Parents & Children - Mufti Menk 

Really enjoyed this sermon. I am not a Muslim and I will never be one bcoz I love Christ... I believe appreciation should be given where it is due which is why I decided to comment here.... I really enjoy listening to Mufti Menk because he knows how to tackle issues and discuss them in the right manner... May he continue to speak the truth to the hearts of all people of this world especially those who do not know God so that we can have a better and peaceful world...

Each creates every experience that each experiences. Energy of a frequency, the thoughts you think, and the feelings it summons from you, shall always, without exception, draw onto you the experience that mirrors that frequency. Think lovingly of what you want, and it is done to you. Think spitefully of what you want, and it is done to you. Do not care what another is, lest it bring happiness. Do not care what another says, lest it brings a smile to your lips. All happiness is derived from your relationship with your Source that, remains the greater Self that you are, for always, and to come, for always. All is well, for always.

I've heard of people naming thier children Kibir, Majnoon, Shah Jahan etc. I think in alot of cases the parent were uneductaed and justpicked a name that sounds nice without truly knowing the meaning.

Children born today, are different from their parents in perspective, because they are, frankly, older than their parents. They re-emerge into this time-space continuum, not only with all of the experience of their infinite past, but also, with the experience of their parents space-time. From that, their intent in space-time is different than that of their parents. All are born with all knowledge of themselves as Source, inseparable. It is only by way of vast confusing religions, that they are taught separation from Infinite Source, from those, that had been taught by those that had come before, when they too, were children. If you wish to know Allah, or God, or Source, you shall, but it is not of the books that all religions, for all time, that have, and yet to be written, shall speak of. f you wish to know Allah, then laugh. If you wish to know Allah, then smile. If you wish to know Allah, then create. All is all. All are an extension of All. Source is vibration, energy, without form and shape, except that it wishes it for creation. Have fun and love what you are creating. This is the heaven: you are creating it now with every good word for another, with every desire for something that in the having of it, it shall be pleasing to you. Source is Infinite; each is Infinite; all, is Infinite.

You are right; how about mothers who use black magic, bully you to marry someone for riches and screams when you seek a religious spouse, and harms your children? May Allah protect us from parents who take advantage of the authority Allah has given them over their children.

Sheik Menk you are such a wonderful role model ma sha Allah. In this day and age we parents are somewhat confused about the direction we should take in rearing our children. We live in a wonderful country in the West, that has given us the freedom to live as we please. Alhumduliallah we were raised as Muslims, from a cultural Middle Eastern Background. The tricky aspect of parenting today is that the rules that governed children and their role within the family has changed dramatically. Your lecture was wonderful as it addressed all the key elements without being directed just at one culture. Jazakumallah Kheir and may Allah give you health and strength to continue educating us in a fashion that we can understand and appreciate.

violence has no place in Islam. Violence shows the man is insecure and is weak. This man speaks practical Islam. Unlike other so Called experts of Islam who run their tanks dry , by just talking some abstract things about God and stop running their mouths , when they run out of their talking energy.May God bless this man with peace and progress.
