This is the best OG interview from street gangs. Besides Baycott this interview painted a good picture and had good content. Unlike other street gang og interviews that are typically short and boring. Good shit Alex.
The Carver Park Compton Crips vs Bounty Hunter Watts is when I knew gangs were real. I used to swim at Carver Park back in the day. The 105 freeway didn't exist then. That was a hill.
Raymond Washington was everywhere for a cat that stayed on 76th. He was at Fremont, Centenial, Drew, Bethune, Edison, Crenshaw, Locke, Washington. None of these schools are close to each other at all. This cat was pushing a line everywhere.
at 2:30 is Triple OG B.H. Frog in all white, standing next to Ray Boyce, who is wearing powder blue. It must be winter because Triple OG Frog is wearing a white fur coat. 😂😂 Late 1970s photo
1979 photo I have a question about Ray Boyce did u witness him fighting/knocking out dudes Frog said that Ray Boyce was a beast from 1970-1977 n Ray Boyce never loss a squabble he's undefeated Ray Boyce must have been fighting since 1967 during the Green Jackets era...how tall was Ray Rhea Boyce?
I'm Mexican I went through Nickerson gardens on my skateboard wearing my Compton hat and ended up having to run for it. Godspeed made me make it to the blue/green line station.
These are some amazing stories when the stories are being told I’m trying to picture in my mind everything that’s happening once again these are some amazing stories and keep up the good work
FirstLady Carita I'm 51. I know the OG Carvers. I went to school wit' Billy Blue and Lil Buck Brevard. Mrs. Johnson was my Teacher, A Black woman. And our principal was Mr. Albright. The song Flash light was poppin. 💛💛💛💛💛
Cushite Calisthenics what he shoulda used a glock or a tech-9....in the early 70s lol? It was mostly bout them hands back then. Revolver, .22 rifle or shotgun was mostly like what it was gon be if it came to gunplay
Indica Strain I know dumbass. It's just funny, how he said it. Niggas busting out an old ass raggedy sation wagon with an old ass 1 shot 22 rifle, shit was funny, homie😆
Hoovers are in west South Central, WILLOWBROOK begins on Central Ave in east South Central. How the fuck was any willowbrook, watts or compton gang beefing with the West side hoovers?????
DFW Boxing is Back lies nigga we use to have the oranges grapes and apples Alliance go to Schoolboy Q interview and he said why he joined to tbe because whoever's and bounty hunters never had beef you food son
I went swimming at Carver park also back in the day before the 105 freeway. Free lunches. Good old days. Was scared as hell of that huge tall rocket climber they had sitting in the middle of the park. I eventually made it to the top though.
Jimmy Lavender I have to ask how did Jr. Thomas pass? And I remember in one of your interviews You said Raymond ask you guys to kill Jr and they would kill the guys who killed Skip. Did Raymond and Jr ever fight? And can you you tell me who is This guy that came with Raymond to your house to discuss the Bishops turning Crip? I believe you said Psycho Michael? I heard of him but not much. Is he still around? Appreciate the response
I can honestly say, when the homegirl got shot that was a sad time. One of the saddest time I can remember growing up in the hood. That hurt. That effected so many lives. I wish that would've never happened. No amount of blood shed can replace a mother.....🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
stickyeyez IN THE 1980S. BLOOD AND CRIP KILLING WAS AN ON THE SIGHT THANG. IF YOU HAD A BLUE OR RED LOW RIDER CAR. AND GET CAUGHT AT A RED LIGHT IN THE WRONG HOOD. YOUR RED OR BLUE LOW RIDER CAR COULD BECOME YOUR COFFIN FOR REAL!!!
Frog Correct We Always Kept .22 Rifles But Tube Feed 18 Round Back In The Day Much Love And Respect To Loaf & Gary Barner & The William Nickersons- Hacienda Out " Mo Like Watts"👁️✌️
Karate was BIG in south central in those days!!!! it was booming, with all the hand to hand combat that was going on, everyone wanted any kind of edge they could get!!
D-BRAZY ... Aye homie don’t be talkin bout are karate shoes cu💤, we take that shit serous over here! Lmao, them muthafuccas used to burn the bottom of your feet in the summertime! 😩😂😂 #TheGoodOleDayz
Yk GAMING stops was worth risking your life for a hotlink pancake breakfast plate but now Hawkins Burger's is where I risk my life for a cheese omlette and some hot cakes and the hunners be there extra thic like syrup they look at me annoyed like this ninja crazy but fuc it if I can go to Nelly's for some red velvet cake or S.O.S I can go to Hawkins Burger's for breakfast LA niggaz be getting gunned down for a plate! #FACTS
Nina Jayy all good I understand the OGs had tough circumstances that led to how they had to get down..I just wish we as a people are back to being brothas and sistas before the gang politics created division. Thank you and Blessings to you and yours Family
streetgangs Hurt people, hurt people. I was a good kid from the a good part of town that was safe but I had got bussed way to the other side of town through a bunch of rival neighborhoods in Richmond California and dudes would set trip on me because they thought I was from their enemies turf and even tho I was 12 it made no difference a lot of those kids were already killers so I had to take my survival seriously. It didn't matter mistaken identity would get you killed, having a pretty girlfriend would get you killed #1 Standing up for yourself would get you killed and my father graduated from high school in 69 he was naive about how bad shit was in the 80's and 90's i felt like I was fucked either way so I started rolling with it instead off getting rolled over. When I moved to LA it was the same shit, you could ask your homies for help once but after that they gone be like 🤷🏾♂️ "you might as well role with us anyway because now they really fina get on you". I did a lot things I'm not proud of but I know for a fact I would be dead if I hadn't learned how to zone out. I'm the last of my generation that's Free and not crippled or gone crazy and I have my wife to thank for that. I'm trying to become a counselor so I can save some of these young people. I owe that much.
babydickslick I was just out there in the gardens and Meadow View. It's still hood out there. Crips all in valley high area down to consumnes river. Stop the the shenanigans
We not interested in Sackofpinto beans niggaz mane. Only Cali the motherland. If you ask me all other cities outside of Cali who got bloods and crips is whack. I feel the niggaz from Cali who put them on was pussies in Cali that ran to another city because they didn't want to be in the gang in cali, or they were run out, and what they did is told these out of town young niggaz fairytale war stories, the youngins thought it sounded cool, then the buster from Cali started recruiting.
It's rare to see a black guy dressed well like this guy. He even have the cane and watch to match that adorable outfit. Oh, there's a matching pen, too, inside his shirt's pocket.
Kunta Kinte DID YOU CHECK OUT THE WHITE DERBY BRIM AND WHITE FUR COAT ORIGINAL BH FROG WAS WEARING STANDING NEXT TO RAY BOYCE IN ALL POWDER BLUE!!! AKA RHEA BOYCE 1970s
There are a few interviews with the Asian gangs.. SEA alliance out of long beach.. just some youngsters tho.. no OGs.. needs to interview the OGs.. the OG Raskals from LB.. there fall out that became ABZ.. when did the asians get put on Crips and which sets put them on..
Somoan/Tongans do nothing but pose around without their shirts, thinking they're buff. A bunch of wannabes in my opinion. You don't hear about them doing any dirt. All I see from them is music videos. Like, "look at me, I'm big and fat. Fear me."
BTW Hatfields & McCoy's are Appalachian families who had a century long shooting feud, women to, I'm pretty sure the ideal of the sacketts kame about from these families
It's funny he's talking about Carver parks not being Crips in the 70s and Zane has a interview talking about him and Raymond founded the Crips which took place in 69
Joseph Ellis in 1969 carver park was black love only. no crips or hunters in watts and compton at all. Bounty Hunters and Carver Park crips came into existence around the same time in late 1971. Mac Thomas Original Compton Grandee Crips came out in 1972. #TRUEFACTS
nowadays do the Bounty Hunters go at it more with the Grapes or with the Carvers? Except for that little LAPD riot in the Nickersons last summer It seems to not be as active in Watts like it used to be.
Carver and Mona park aren't located in Compton city proper. In the beginning they started off under that Raymond Washington Eastside Crip Umbrella. That whole area is unique because it's unincorporated in Los Angeles County but it's niggas from Compton & Watts right in that cirlce. That's also where the world famous Killa King Hospital is located. Plus there's another Piru St in the Rosewood area. Alot of important unknown subjects need to be touched on. Compton doesn't have a movie theater and believe it or not there's farms & cowboys. The Media is a trip !!!! And Watts is not a city like many people think. It was annexed many years ago but the citizens there still claim it like an independent city.
Deathrow Legacy Right ,,, I grew up in the Nellaz and we have Compton address and Zip code 90220 but they say it's west rancho Dominguez and at on time they were saying it was Rosewood! My Kinfolk Lives in east Rancho Dominguez in Kelly park , 90221 ,So that Means Eazy E was From East Rancho Dominguez! Yeah and Watts and willobrook and Athens are the same way , Ujima Village Guys always Claimed Compton , but Magic Johnson Park used to be Willowbrook Park!! When you are living there All this unincorporated Stuff don't really exist though! Watts is the only one that people actually Claim ,because it probably the oldest settlement of African Americans from the South! Also there is a Difference between The Eastside of South Central and East LA which I think is also UNICORPORATED because people have heard of it in movies ,but trying to explain this to people from outta town is a Task in itself!! Lol 😂
Lol i once asked an LA cat about this and i guess its also a pride thing. If you watts you gonna say u from WATTS as opposed to being from like jefferson where u would probably say south central lol watts is like a special neighborhood thats gets treated like a city hence the ice cube line in how to survive: the gangs of la, compton, and WATTS That nigga told me the eastside of la always was poorer than the westside and how watts was like the poorest place idk if it still is. Big contrast from like the westside. I heard somebody say 60s came from nice homes and had cash flow LOL
AQUAPHREESH193 True I'm originally from the Eastside of South Central ,119th and San Pedro before I moved to Compton in 89 !The WESTSIDE of South central always looked a little nicer, but blacks folks were struggling on both sides of South Central and on both sides of Compton! Some individuals were on wellfare and section 8 and some Owned !! The Thing about Our Ghettos in LA Is that Some of the most Vicious Gang Members or HOODS or SETS don't Come From Extra poor Conditions, SOME Do ,but definitely NOT all !! We Have what you call STRAIN ,Because Our Ghettos are too Close to Orange County , Hollywood , Beverly Hills , and the Beaches and there Niebohorhoods ETC! GOOD Weather ,and The Well fare System is better Than Most Other States and it's cost of living is very expensive also ,welfare Women were getting Cash 💰 and Food stamps and Housing and Medical, in a lot States they Don't even Give single mothers cash! All in all it's the Same everywhere go ,but I think in my opinion CALIFORNIA from the BAY ALL THE WAY Down the Diego MAKES GHETTO LIFE Style , GANg Bangin And Hustling , and Pimpin look FUN BECAUSE of its UNIQUE LOCATION ! There not another place Like it and Done Been around the country from ghetto to ghetto!! West Coast Rap videos say all ! Rappers From out of town have maid hit songs about it with out A west Coast rapper on the Song!!!
Adrian Mcinnis I use to go to that Seven Day Adventist School across the street from Magic Johnson Park. The Piruz from WSP use to hop the fence & jack students for they shoes.
4Lo-Ki. Historical Facts: All original crips, eastside, westside and compton treated Joe Barker aka Triple OG Killer Joe like a full grown ferocious lion. 99.9% of all of the original crips from 1972 to 1981 knew that Killer Joe would walk up to Watts festivals by himself and take a leather coat or an Ace Deuce hat from the first crip that he would see at the festival. No matter if there were 100 or 1,000 crips there, he would still show up and catch a handful of crips, not paying attention to the Lone Lion, Killer Joe. Before the crips could get their composure together, Killer Joe would rush them by himself. To those who never seen the battle between a male lion and a gang of hyenas, please watch it on National Graphic, because Killer Joe acts like the ferocious lion and the hyenas act like the handful of crips running trying to get away. Killer Joe's reputation was one that 95% of all original crips feared. If you ever watched the Godfather movie, Killer Joe also had the character of Sonny Corleone. Very, very high tempered and very quick to go across your head, with fists, bottles, baseball bats, sticks, metal trash cans, you name it! He would actually stomp you to death if he could. I'm not even going to get into the gunplay that he did, but I will say this, the original Crips know why his name is Killer Joe. I rest my case.
D-BRAZY Well Carver Park isn't in Compton even though they claim it. It's in unincorporated Willowbrook and literally only a few miles from the Nickersons. The Carvers are directly South of the Imperial courts, home of the PJ Watts crips. Who are east of the Nickersons. That puts Carver Park Southeast of the Bounty Hunters. The Carvers and PJ's are enemies. Mona Park is also in Willowbrook. Watts is directly north of Compton by literally blocks, so say a mile depending on what street you're on.
