STORYLINE:
Mourners gathered outside the Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip to retrieve the bodies of four people killed in Israeli strikes.
A group of men and boys prayed over the bodies, wrapped in shrouds as per Islamic tradition, and wept before carrying them away to be buried.
Hospital staff told The Associated Press that the victims of the strikes on Deir al-Balah included Mohammad Qazaat, a surgeon displaced from Gaza City, as well as his son, who was a dentist.
