On your Barbie's hair have you tried using coconut oil. Wet hair and rub it through her hair, leave overnight and rinse off in the morning. Wash hair at least twice.
Oh I remember Crystal Barbie! I had all the She-ra dolls too, and Jetta, the British Misfit from Jem. My favourite Barbie dress was Peaches and Cream Barbie. I always dreamed of one day having that dress in real life.
