The four seasons are finally complete, after making relaxing songs for Spring, Summer and Winter now Autumn finally joins. =) I actually fell asleep while I test-listened to this song after it was done, so it's either really relaxing or really boring. xD
I always heard people say that „Evening Breeze" was already kind of the „Autumn" song but I never saw it that way to be honest (the only thing that made it seem autumny was the video artwork^^). I always knew that when I make an Autumn song I want to make it much more melancholic and steady than Evening Breeze, which I did now with this. I used much more strings and a steady drum beat. However I just couldn't resist to make the kind of lively melody at around 9:00. xD
Composed and arranged 100% by myself on keyboard, as always.
The artwork was made by this great artist:

I'm Irish and haven't listened to Celtic music until a little over 2 years ago when my daughter was born. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.
@WildcardASMR

Our people's music is an art that has resisted countless attempts at exterminaton, invasion, and beyond. It's a beautiful thing, truly. Sometimes, if you listen hard enough, it's like you're one with your ancestors and your motherland. I know I sound like I have a misplaced patriotism about me, so I apologise. Pride in tradition and culture is just of mighty importance.
@josephbedwell3164
@josephbedwell3164 2 года назад
@@WildcardASMR no apology necessary. I agree 100% with what you're saying. Aside from my love of music and a set the world on fire kinda temper, amongst other Irish traits, I'm amazed I've found some level of tranquility at such a young age. Maybe some of it due to my ability to write when I just sit and listen to music and suddenly get hit with a ton of inspiration.
@WildcardASMR

@@josephbedwell3164 Well thanks haha. I most definitely concur; I find such melodies to really guide my writing when I'm stuck on a plot end or can't conjure up a convincing event in a story. I'm actually writing a novel right this moment, and I find such music with which I have a deep connection to far more effective than your average music track.

Unfortunately, no. The only difference between us and them is that they were at the mercy of the natural world. We can appreciate its beauty now because we have, to a large degree, forgotten the fangs. Nature is something to be feared as much as it is to be respected, and while we must show greater respect than in the past for our own sakes, to cast ourselves at its mercy would be very foolish, indeed.

It’s not that they so to speak knew how to respect nature, more to say they did not know how to NOT respect it. Fossil fuels, CFCs, industrialized cities/agricultural developments were non existent. We can not compare ourselves to our ancestors in relation to the mistreatments of nature or our atmosphere. I would say they were for sure more CONNECTED, and maybe we should take time to learn about our roots and do the same. Just remember, nature always wins.

Usage rights - please read: I’m posting the usage rights and important information about my music right here in a comment on every new video so that they’re easily accessible to everyone. =) USAGE: If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =) On RU-vid and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way! ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required. If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except RU-vid and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed. Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects. Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion). So if your project is non-commercial or a RU-vid project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal. REQUESTED MUSIC: I generally do not accept offers to make songs on request or to write music for movies, games etc. One reason is that I can't handle it time-wise but even if I had the necessary time I would still stay away from it because I - quite honestly - don't really like to do it.^^ I basically make music to express whatever topic moves me, randomly. I tried it a few times but I have the best creativity and feel the most freedom and happiness when I do that completely alone and without being “employed” by someone. I hope that’s understandable.^^ Important: I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message or is pornographic. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things. Same goes for explicit pornography. Media with nude art is allowed, if not pornographic in nature and purpose. I hope you're having an awesome day, and thanks a lot for being interested in my music! =)

I come back here to listen to this piece every year around this time, and it never disappoints. Autumn is so magical and otherworldly, in such a beautiful way. The long, exhausting, scorching, seemingly never-ending stretch of Summer begins to fade, giving way to times of cloudy, rainy, crisp cold days, warm meals, cozy sweaters, jackets and blankets, the leaves transform from hanging greens overhead, to blanketing the ground in an abundance of reds, yellows, oranges, browns, and purples, the earth, bright and full of life in the Spring and Summer, now begins it's annual, and dare I say, well-deserved slumber for the rest of the year, the hype of Summer becomes yet another passing memory, as life for us goes back to a normal routine, children return to a brand new semester at school, with the excitement of a fun, spooky Halloween around the corner, communities and families come together to enjoy festivals and feasts. It's, in my opinion, the most perfect season of the four.

In ancient times, the land lay covered in forests, where, from ages long past, dwelt the spirits of the gods. Back then, man and beast lived in harmony, but as time went by, most of the great forests were destroyed. Those that remained were guarded by gigantic beasts who owed their allegiances to the Great Forest Spirit. For those were the days of gods and of demons...

I love the woods in this time of year where I live, because everything is beautiful shades of orange and brown and yellow. It's even more beautiful once the sun starts to set. Sometimes, I'll climb up a semi-tall tree and relax on a tree branch, watching the sun set. It's very peaceful. It also falls in line with my beliefs, because I have it set up so that when I die, I will be buried in this forest. (Basically, I believe that, when I die, the energy of my body returns to the earth and helps new life grow around me.)

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all of the amazing pieces you've composed. This piece in particular is a favorite of mine because it helps my 1 year old daughter fall asleep. She goes through phases with other music, but when I put this on, 9 times out of 10 she is happily sleeping within the first 6-8 minutes. She was playing, and as soon as I put the track on, she put her toys down and came over to be rocked to sleep, that is what a magical effect your music has. She is in fact asleep on me this very moment as I type this. I am so grateful to you. Thanks!

For the D&D players out there. Had a session last saturday that involved my groups tracking an Auroch through a forest. They followed the tracks for around 2 hours until eventually, they came to a clearing, in which the tracks vanished. They watched as a small songbird flew into the clearing, and upon reaching the middle also disappeared. So the group decided to head through and arrived in the Feywild. From when they first entered, and this is their first time there, I started playing this, and they were absolutely captivated by it all. So, thanks as ever for the brilliant music!!

Damian Callahan Hey me too! :D I'm always looking for relaxing, mood-setting music when I write. Nothing vocal because I find it distracting...plus I end up singing and get distracted and lose the mood =/ This helps get my mind right for character development. Adrian has some of the most inspiring music ever

I'm a DJbard. Adrian's music is so beautiful for D&D/RP! Set up 4 small bluetooth speakers under the table(s) at north, south, east and west. Name the speakers the same on your device. Listen carefully to the gameplay and the DM, you'll get the flow. You can use just one phone or tablet, just use different player apps (incl. RU-vid) to send tracks via bluetooth, so you can play while you DJbard. ... As my party explores this autumnal forest, a twig is snapped. Slowly, a dark, thunder-clashed wind arises from the West ...

I have truly found love! (Music love, because how do you marry music? If you can let me know guys xD) This music is truly, wonderfully, deliciously, beautifully, inspiring and ... just there isn't words, there is not a word for how fantastic your music is. And Adrian, maybe you do, maybe you don't know that you are helping people become better at their skills and you are healing them with the amazing sounds of love that are weaved into your music. You are making them achieve goals because your music helps them relax, it helps them write or draw or sing in their own beautiful way, and they themselves are improving. All because of you, thank you Adrian von Ziegler, for being you and doing what you do, you help me with my own goals, and my own skills and imagination, I hope to achieve more with you. -Love an eleven year old

XD you're telling him to do research? The Norse invasions of Lindersfarn and Northumbria were 1500 years AFTER the Christianisation of Albion and Ireland so you've kinda got your time periods wrong, eat yer own shit before giving it to others
@ChrisJohnson-vb9hr
@ChrisJohnson-vb9hr 9 лет назад
Ethan Quirk Confused. Although Christianity had arrived earlier through priests escaping persecution, it did not firmly take root until...maybe 300ad and on. About the same time Constantine adopted Christianity. The big viking era was...I think 800ad to 900ad? So it was only about 500 years, not 1500. I agree with you about your critique, just not the time.
@ethanquirk28
@ethanquirk28 9 лет назад
Chris Johnson the viking era was 1400s to 1500s, Christianity spread in Ireland and Albion around 50AD when a load of christian slaves were set free, its how Ireland was brought to heel since the Romans couldnt take it over anyway
