This time, however, you'll experience our wander from the first person perspective, and with richer shadows and more realistic lighting thanks to the recent addition of ray tracing! I hope it helps increase your immersion and relaxation.

This intro is spectacularly hilarious 😆 You arrive in the Boreal Valley, or whatever it's called in Elden Ring; there are sweeping mountains and imposing castles with elegant and nimble spires reaching up into watercolor skies... And then this bearded guy in a graphic tee from Into the AM comes up and starts bombarding you with questions and blatantly questioning your sense of fashion. Amazing 👍

I wish I had the time and patience to play through this game to be able to appreciate this masterpiece of a game. I’ve debated on buying it and just installing and “easy mode” mod but i’m not sure.

It does take some patience to learn, and you have to expect and tolerate a certain amount of BS. But this is my first soulslike game, and it's honestly not as punishing as I expected. Certain fights can be very tough, but you can always go elsewhere and come back once you're stronger. It's a very long game though, easily 100+ hrs if you're thorough. I still haven't beaten it haha, but I keep chipping away at it. I hope you get a chance to experience it some day!

The difficulty is part of the experience it makes winning that much more satisfying and compared to the likes of dark souls or sekiro it isnt as punishing,but i would understand if time is the issue the game is quite expansive and takes some time to beat compared to other fromsoft games.

This game more than any other FromSoft has made gives you the tools to make it as easy or as hard as you prefer. It'll still take learning of course, but a lot of boss encounters can be made considerably easier just by using summons by themselves. Also, a lot of the major bosses provide NPC summons that are tanky and will help you a lot.

Certified (non-early-access) first! 🥇 The ray tracing is nice, but it's honestly not worth the performance hit for most cards. It does improve shading, most notably on vegetation, but it cuts FPS in half. I hope they add DLSS or at least FSR to the game in the future to compensate. It's also too bad there's only ray traced shadows and ambient occlusion, but no RTGI or ray traced reflections.

I wanted to say first but apparently first for patreons i see 🤔 still nice. Also i am kinda disappointed with elden ring, not only is the game not rly for me but the pc port is abysimal. No ultrawide support for my monitor, 60fps cap and bad performance, especially with their bad rtx implementation it is really saddening. Doesnt seem like they care either, they love the consoles and leave pc players in the shadow

Aye, Patrons and channel Members get early access to my Sunday videos, but you're still Certified (non-early-access) Second! 🥈 As for Elden Ring's technical performance on PC, yeah, I have to admit it's not great. It launched pretty rough and they eventually fixed that, but the ray tracing implementation is pretty half-baked. What they added looks good, but the game would REALLY benefit from ray traced reflections in addition to the shadows and ambient occlusion, and the performance is pretty rough with RT turned on. I can brute force it with the 4090, but I'd say for most people, the FPS hit isn't worth it. DLSS/FSR would go a long way to alleviating the issue. This is my first FromSoft game, but my understanding is that they're notorious for their PC ports being rough, and generally not that technically proficient as a developer.

@@theASMRnerd to be fair i am fine with it since it at least runs, i just wanna play the last of us but if i go anything over medium textures ON A 3080 it crashes due to vram.... It of course also is nvidias fault for being such a shitty company and giving the least amount of vram they can, but the porting on that is really bad. It crashes every 30 seconds for me

@@eisregenhaha Yeah from everything I hear, that port is a train wreck. It has no excuse for launching in that state and running so poorly on high-end hardware. I really hope they fix it, because it's shameful.
