The biggest message of LiS is: Don´t forget the people you like and love, spend time with them and don´t postpone this to "some day". Because you never know what will happen in your and other´s lifes. I played this game in January, it was the most emotional experience I ever experienced and I decided to consider the message and spend more time with my beloved family and friends. 6 month later, in July, our beloved mother got critically ill from pneumonia and sepsis. After only 7 days she was dying, everything went so fast. She was reanimated and kept in coma for several weeks. Now she woke up. She still has her memories, but physically she´s broken and has breathlessness often. It´s like Chloe in the wheelchair. 2 weeks before the infection I was hiking with her and she was extremly fit, this with age 67. Now this times are over and we just can hope she survives this horror we all experienced the last weeks. I normally don´t believe in prevision or fate, but combining all this is a shock. Like this game wanted to give me a warning ... ;-( Life is strange. Sometimes cruel. But wonderful, too. I try to look at the bright side: I spent a good time with her the last years. That counts. Everybody has to leave earth. Just hope her time isn´t over as I suppose I don´t get a choice like Chloe Arcadia Bay with our mother...

To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.

Max and Chloe has to be favorite song of the soundtrack. It just has such hopefulness and determination, like the End is only the Beginning.

Does anyone else break down when they hear this music? I am not an emotional person at all, but man, this game absolutely broke me. To this day, years after I first experienced it, I still don't understand why it hit me so deeply. It must have hit something I've buried very deeply, as I imagine it has for many other people. I still find it very confusing.

It's has been 8 years since the game first released and it's still getting popular. I remembered my first time playing this game and recently i've played it again, those feelings still the same as my first time played! What an amazing game! 😍

I find it interesting how everyone that has ever played Life is Stange connected with the game in such a special way. And just by listening to the soundtrack, it takes you right back into the game. I’m forever grateful for my big brother who introduced me to the world of Life is Stange 1 and Before the Storm, and I know this might sound a bit corny, but I really wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for LiS’ impact on my life. Life truly is strange.

This game and all it holds will forever have a special place in my heart.

This game makes me feel sad, probably because it was the last game my dad saw me play before he was in the hospital. (he passed in early 2016) and its like my emotions are trapped or attached to this game, I miss him dearly. 7 years ago.

Life is Strange arrived at such a messy moment in my life it has such an important meaning for me. The game was an escape from real life, it made me feel laughter & sadness. The game really is a rollercoaster of emotions and I consider it to be incredibly underrated; this game is a piece of art.

I will never, ever forget Life is Strange. This game has had such an impact on my life that it even feels insulting to call it just a "game". It is a literal masterpiece and has changed me forever for the better. It's been 5 years and there hasn't been any story(games/books/series) that made me feel the way LIS did. And I don't think there will ever be. My parents adopted 2 cats and we named them Max and Chloe (my mom loved LIS too), my pfp is literally the absolute goddess that is Chloe Price, and I plan on getting a blue butterfly tattoo because, yk, Chloe. (But it also has deeper meanings to me involving the whole game and the butterfly effect). I don't know if anyone will even read this, but this sound brought me really happy memories and a huge nostalgia. So I had to vent in a place where people might understand my feelings :) Life is Strange will live on forever. Nicefield, Keep up doing the Lord's work of never letting this masterpiece be forgotten. 🙂

I never appreciated gameplay at all until I discovered this game and played it this year in quarantine. I was up till 2am everyday playing it on the edge of my seat. No game has ever made me feel invested in the characters until this.

Life is strange hold a special place in my heart. I played this game while being at my mental health lowest point. I became obsessed with it, playing it over and over again. This kept me alive until I was finally able to see a therapist and get the help I need after several weeks on a waitlist. Seeing the emotional reaction to both Chloe and Kate's death made me deeply reflect on my own entourage's reaction if I was gone. That was 3 years ago. Life is strange saved my life

I'm a middle-aged dude who played LiS for the first time this past month on a friend's recommendation. I never would have guessed a video game about teen girls in high school would have caught my interest, but this game made me feel things I haven't felt since High School so many years ago. It was amazing how it brought back so many memories of my own time in school like it was yesterday, and how it was able to make me actually care about these characters. In my life I've known people who were so much like Max, Chloe and Rachel that it's uncanny. I shared an apartment with a "Chloe" right out of college and I could easily relate to Chloe in the game and understand where she was coming from. While I can't play the game for the first time again, whenever I listen to the music, it immediately brings back those memories. Before the Storm also turned me on to Brody Dalle. I grew up listening to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and she sounds a lot like a young Joan Jett with a punk rock vibe.

I just wish max and Chloe will appear in a game once more😔 Shit i had such a blast playing this game😕

I played it right around Highschool, and I remember waiting a few months for each episode. So many memories intertwined with each episode because it reflects the phase of my life I was in when I played it. Now I'm about to graduate from university with a degree in computer science and writing. This game inspired me to pursue game development, I hope I can be part of a project that makes an impact on someone like me.

I have loved this game since I was 14 y'all. I'm about to be 20 in October. There are some things that are a phase, but this is not. I love this video, but I can’t find it relaxing because my heart just aches listening to it. Instead of doing work, this video accompanies my 3am crying sessions each night.

My connection to this game is so nostalgic and painful, me and an old friend played the whole game together, unfortunately we went our separate ways as her boyfriend got in between our friendship in a bad way. Anytime I hear the soundtrack or songs from the game, it’s like I’m sent back to those good times with her, I miss it so much, I miss her so much. But I’ll never forget the happy times and the laughter and tears shared together over this game. I would do anything to relive those experiences again with her.

*Personal anecdote, but also, spoilers* I picked this game up on a whim and played through it shortly after spending a month at home when my stepfather passed away suddenly from cancer. He was diagnosed and passed within a year. We had a complicated family dynamic and there was a lot of grief between us. In my most bitter moments growing up, I swore I’d celebrate when he died. That I wouldn’t go to the funeral, and that instead, I’d throw a party to celebrate that I’d finally gotten my family back. But, something strange happened. I couldn’t understand why I was so upset that he was gone. What this void was he’d left, or why I felt it so constantly. For months, I found myself stuck in an inward spiral of confusion, fear, and a deeply rooted sense of general unease. This story, its cast of characters, and the experience of Arcadia Bay itself - Every piece of it came together in a perfect blend of nostalgia in some way. A universal coming-of-age feeling we all experience at some time or another in life. A procession of the chapters that reminds you that time is a commodity you only get so much of, and once spent - no refunds. My stepfather was a complicated man. And that’s the story. He was a complicated man - a person, before he was a parent. A person with their own struggles, fears, strengths, and flaws. I believe that growing up and finding peace from a traumatic childhood is to learn this lesson: That at 32 years old, I still have no idea what I’m doing, other than my best. Can I honestly believe that someone of a similar age would have been doing any better? Maybe, maybe not - it comes down to the person, their experience, and their capacity to love themselves enough to love others. This shift in perspective doesn’t make what happened right, or offer an excuse for any type of abuse. But I have found that by thinking this way, I don’t have to carry the burden of a grudge anymore. In seeing the dynamic between Chloe and David, some part of me was able to process what happened. That the pain I experienced growing up wasn’t my fault. That he should have known better. But he didn’t. And now, I feel more sad for him that he never got the chance to feel truly safe in life. That the lashing out and anger was really just a projection of his own internal turmoil. I have a hard time describing what it was like to make some of the decisions I was presented with as I was grieving myself - As I was processing that the world I knew, regardless of the struggles it brought so far, was forever different now. I chose Bay. For me, Bay was the only option. I believe that, at some level as Foals played in the background during the funeral, I gave myself permission to feel what I’d been unwilling or unable to face. That I was able to let go, and begin to accept the next chapter. To accept that someday I’ll be gone too. And that that’s okay, because the story of life, and how strange it can be for each of us, shouldn’t be overshadowed by the fear of, or the grief caused by death. And then, I let go. I cried. And I finally found the delta between grief and growth. I didn’t mean for this comment to be a monologue, but here we are. To the DONTNOD team, thank you for one of the most powerful stories I have personally experienced.

I love this game so much. I’ve played it almost ten times. It was my whole life and personality at one point haha! I can’t believe how much time has gone by and how much I’ve changed since I first played it. I actually made my girlfriend play it a few months ago and it had been a year or two since I last played it. Playing it again made me really reflect on the person I’ve become and it made me feel so nostalgic. It almost made me view the game in a different way than I did in the past because of how much I’ve changed over the years. I love this game more than words can express and it has helped me get through a lot of shit. I love how it has stuck with me throughout the years and continues to pop up now and again when I need it the most ❤️
