Hi Marlene, so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a LOT of trouble with my dad, so when he passed away... it was like, pretty unemotional. Still, I would have liked to have "set things straight" with him while he was in the hospital, but my older (then real bossy) sister forbid it. I had a dream before he went that he was going. Sometime afterwards, I saw him in a dream in which my mother remarried (she did), but he was completely calm (not like on earth, (ha! ) but he said nothing. He was content. Years later, I asked my dad something (about mechanics... he was an engineer) and the answer he gave me was right on. (I had no idea. ) Fast forward 25 years: this year, I decided to tell my dad I loved him and that I forgave him everything and that I hoped he also would forgive me... but I TALKED to him, just as if he had been there. Guess what, a couple of days ago I had a dream in which he talked to me. It wasn't earthshaking, but it was him. Our loved ones are SOMEWHERE; they just aren't obstructed by the weaknesses of that old body anymore. But they still care about us and want to continue loving us as much as we allow. That's news for some folks; others are totally sceptical, but it's so. TALK to him; he won't be there... not in the physical, no, that's over, but he IS still there and loves you, cares about you and wants to hear from you. Sorry to "lay all this on you" as a total stranger, but I felt it might be a help. Wishing you the best in the loneliness and all the adjustments that have foisted themselves on you so unexpectedly. Rey He Rey I truly appreciated your story you had shared with me. I’m longing to dream of my husband and to feel his presence, which I haven’t till now. But I do talk to him every night when I’m alone in my room, because this is the moment I missed him so much. I wish that one day when I wake during the night to find him lying next to me. We were married for 40 years and we were inseparable. I know he’s close to me and watching over me, but I really miss this physical contact. I’m trying to cope alone though it’s hard. God is giving me the strength to stand strong.
