Don’t use too much heat, stay on top of your deep conditioning and trims, stretch relaxer in a healthy way, keep new growth strong and healthy, your hair will flourish
Been binge watching ‘relaxed hair’ vids and maintenance tips. I’m so excited to be relaxing my 4C hair after 11 years of struggling with it. 🙄😅. And Your hair looks lovely 😘❤️
@cinnamonstar808 so does eating meat...also having sex can give you stds...organic food aint really organic..we can go all day....like life is full of risks. You pick and choose your battles.
I completely understand relaxing it.. it can be so time consuming and tiring doing our natural hair, and half the time it won’t even come out the way you want it to. I’ve contemplated it so many times
Thank you. Yes, it being so time consuming with ultimately my reason for relaxing it. I love natural hair and will probably go back to it at some point but right now I'm enjoying the quick mornings of get ready :)
Put towel on your neck. Put vaseline or grease on your edges and ears. Soak a t-shirt in warm water incase relaxed goes on your skin. Rub it with the t-shirt soaked in warm water. Use a neutralising shampoo if using a lye relaxer that doesn't include it in the box. Lovely video and hair😊
That came out really cute! I am getting over the natural hair also. It's summer and this humidity is a beast! If you want curls you can always do a twist out.
ay yi yi! it's gorgeous, and it looks like you really do have the best of both worlds. it's still thick, and you can make it sleek if you want. i think your results are really what black women are looking for with a relaxer (texturizer). kudos to you, and thanks for sharing!
I'm definitely feeling like I have the best of both worlds right now. I'm having so much fun trying out some of the sleek styles that were a little more difficult to do before. thank you so much for watching!
Hi there, your video was promoted on my channel. The way I see it, I believe more black women will go back to relaxers. I like my natural hair, but my life will be busy in a couple of months. So I'm contemplating to relax my hair after 22 years. Your hair is beautiful 🥰
If I ever go back to relaxers, I would definitely texlax. It seems to me that my relaxed hair grows better than my natural hair. I'm going to try heat stretching before I use the chemicals. I don't want bone straight hair.
This really helps me sis … I was told that I shouldn’t relax my hair or recommend for me to relax long hair my hair about shoulder length or a little pass my shoulder, I been natural for about 11 + years now and I’ve been thinking about relaxing it now!
Love your accent! I’m from Virginia originally and currently live in Portland Oregon and rarely hear southern accents anymore. This vid was very soothing! ❤
Thank you! 🥹❤️ yes! I was so shocked to run into her. I miss you and hope you’re doing well too! You know y’all have always been my favorites. Sending love 💕
For this relaxer your plan needed to have been one half then wash out and then complete. Just because of the time needed to get the product completely on there. 6-8 weeks you can do a corrective relaxer. I saw you needed to mix at least two kits though you have so much hair. You did good. Hair looks good.
You don't have to be nervous 😉, just remember to avoid scratching that scalp before and after the application of the relaxer. Get some good hair products to experiment with and get straight 😃.
When you do your touch ups now, put a towel around your neck. That’s to prevent the relaxer from having contact with your skin. Other than that, your hair came out beautiful.
Even through all the hijinks, your hair turned out great! I was cracking up at your anxiety lies 🤣 That’s about to be be tomorrow morning, wish me luck 😅
@@QuonnaLeshaeI underprocessed BIG TIME 🫣 Tried to fix it but was so scared of burning my ish off my head that I rinsed early again. I’m going to a salon when it’s time to rerelax lol
Burn… Burn…. Burn…. You said 🤣🤣 About like 23 times. I wasn’t counting tho. 🤣 I enjoyed the video and you made my morning and I can related to everything as well.
I knew it was time for me to get a relaxer when I realized that even the curls on my 3C3B wigs didn't stay lol. Those curls would last literally for about 30 minutes after you put product on it and then they would swell up And these are wigs natural hair wigs by the way but still a wig with a looser curl pattern and I will still having problems with it The hair was still swelling up I had to comb it out it was shedding. On a wig!! So I knew it was time to just get a relaxer because you can't do much with curls I don't care what your curl pattern is it can be 3C or 4C they still have to be treated in moisturized all day everyday for it to look nice.
This just happened to recommended for me to watch! I subscribed to your channel just for the name and I love your voice!!! My name is Markett LaShae!! I love yours!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ new subscriber here 😊love this video!!! Your hair is beautiful!!!!
Do you like being relaxed better than natural? 😊 I was relaxed for a very long time and went natural in 2020. I honestly feel like it’s the same, both are pretty high maintenance 😅. I’m still natural till this day but not gonna lie, I miss the quick was days 🥹
@@QuonnaLeshae Thanks for answering ❤️ Honestly just do what’s best for you. I went natural during the pandemic since I thought I could escape my dry AF relaxed hair, but as my natural hair grew longer, it’s still dry AF 😂😂😂 Since the results are kind of the same, I ended up just staying natural 😊. But hey you look beautiful both ways ❤️ keep up the amazing work ❤️
@@Sisima13 😂🥲 omg yes it definitely takes time and testing out different products to see what works best whether your hair is natural or relaxed. And yes, thank you so much ❤️❤️
If you want clear, flawless skin & zero scalp issues, eliminate *ALL dairy* from your diet for at least 90 days & change your main beverage to 90% water. I did that 3 yrs ago - no more scalp issues & crystal clear skin. I rarely wear makeup anymore.
I think for the ones that are going back to relaxer, MAYBE it's best to let a professional do it the first time if you're ABLE to go to one. BUT yours turned out Great 👍👍
It is a permanent change. You can do touch ups to the roots as they grow in every 6-8 weeks. The only way to have the natural hair back is to not do the touch ups and allow your natural hair to grow back out or to cut off all of the hair that has already been chemically altered. :)
I just relaxed my hair in April. ONLY BECAUSE MY HEALTH. my blood is @ level 2. Last year I almost passed out because of wigs and heat. I HATE WHEN PEOPLE JUDGE ME OR OTHER PEOPLE! Or FKN ASK!! My hair is chin length and thick. I even used two boxes, next time I getting 3. ( I’m trying to be cheap ) I did have allergic reaction & Chemical burn on my ears (Only because I’m allergic to Perms and everything) For all the Negativity: I don’t believe it’s a Cruelty Free & Vegan Free Perm 🤣 Ki$$ My A$$ Yeah for thick roots get the Super relaxer. But you’re fine because it depends on your scalp and of course personal preference . I have sensitive scalp so really I don’t suppose to be getting perms 🤣 YOLO AND IM THINKING ABOUT CUTTING IT WHILE IM RELAXED. ( Oooo a Pixi cut with long side part bang 😩🥺❤️❤️See now you got me started and acting crazy. TFS and have a healthy journey as well… Also keep us posted, like wash day etc. I definitely want to hear and see it. ( But laugh mostly )
Relaxer for health is kinda wild lmao , you can just wear braids instead of wigs. There are so many other solutions 😅, sounded like excuses. But whatever makes you happy
Not trying to be a natural hair Karen lmfaoooooo. But we know for a FACT that women who put relaxers in their hair are at higher risk of uterine cancer…. It’ll just be interesting to have this discussion as black women. We know based on literal science that relaxers aren’t just a beauty trend to help with hair we’re not conditioned and/or happy with managing. Just curious of your opinion. 💕
If you’re already experiencing breakage, I would not recommend relaxing. When your hair sheds, if it sheds in full length strands then you have healthy shedding. If when shedding, you’re getting a lot of small, short pieces that don’t typically match up to the full length of your hair, then you know you’re experiencing breakage from unhealthy strands. That would be one of the main factors I’d consider when deciding.
